Seachem Prime Concentrated Conditioner, 500 ml

My favourite water treatment for my animals/fish. Makes water lovely and clean, helps with nitrate levels, easy to use and understand. Very effective for amphibians, smells alittle but not something that’s a cause for concern. Such a brilliant bottle to have around. Very happy with my purchase.

easy way to condition your water, an easier way of measuring exact ratio would be useful though. i'd recommend leaving conitioned water to sit for 10-30 minutes to allow it to work, as well as making sure it is the correct temperature as tank water

In the area that we live in The water is very variable. Sometimes when it comes out of the tap it smells very chloriney. Sometimes it smells peaty..One time The water came out so acidic that it killed a bunch of the fish before we managed to rescue them.This stuff really neutralizes a lot of the chemicals in the water very very well. A capful or less into a bucket of water and given a swirl will prepare the water for the tank almost immediately. Previously I had to leave the water sitting in the tank for a couple of days for the chlorine to evaporate out.Given how little you have to put into the water, The bottle lasts quite long. One bottle will last me around about 6 months for a 65 l tank. So while it's more expensive than some other offerings, it's certainly good value for money.You just have to get used to the sulphurous smell. :)

Great for keeping the fish tank water levels right after a water change

This product has been reccomendeded to me twice when I have had the horrible misfortune of new pond/tank syndrome.Most recently after getting low (but still enough to affect fish health) reading of Unwanted AMMONIA and NITRITE In my last new pond I built Last,I had to take action.I was told by one local Pond dealer to carry out large water changes every other day plus add filter bacteriaThis did make a slight difference but still a very very slow process nonetheless.Plus it wasn't giving me the results I needed FAST.On returning to the same dealer a couple of weeks later another worker their reccomended this Prime product to me.So this time after carrying out yet another water change but then adding the dosage of this Seachem prime suggested,after a tense 24hrs concerned about the occupants of my ponds health,I was amazed and delighted to see the water parameters had finally stabilised,and it had worked 100%.The precautions that are required and not adding anymore fish still apply,But I haven't had any issues with ammonia and nitrite since I dosed with prime, subsequent water tests have proven.only Nitrates to manage,as it should be.It literally does what it says on the bottle.Removes Nitrite and ammonia (plus chlorine)So to summarise,twice this Seachem prime has resolved my new pond syndrome issues.snd therefore I cannot reccomended it enough and will continue to use it should I have the misfortune of this water problem again in future.Obviously I cannot offer people guarentees,but in my experience (twice) this product has worked for me unquestionably.
