Has lasted well, will get stained but comes clean in the dishwasher.
We prefer these to the metal ones. Ordered 2 and they are used several times a day so well worth the price.

A cheap sieve, but fine.
Works fine, used for sieving algae from a tiny pond.

The Chef Aid 15cm Nylon Mesh Plastic Strainer is a reliable and lightweight addition to my kitchen. Its size is perfect for a range of tasks, from straining tea or sauces to rinsing small portions of fruit. The nylon mesh is fine enough to catch even the smallest particles, yet easy to clean. The plastic frame is sturdy and doesn’t feel flimsy, providing good durability for daily use. I also like the handle, which is comfortable to hold and has a hook for convenient hanging storage. For its price and practicality, this strainer is a great buy and a must-have for any home cook. Effective Tea Strainer, But Discolors Over Time
I’ve been using this Chef Aid White Plastic Tea Strainer for a few months now, mainly for straining tea, and overall, it’s been a great little addition to my kitchen. Here are my thoughts:Pros:Durable Build: The plastic frame is high quality, and the nylon mesh strainer feels strong yet flexible. Even after months of regular use, there are no signs of fraying in the mesh.Easy to Clean: I’ve only handwashed it so far, and it’s very easy to rinse out—especially important when dealing with something like chai that tends to leave residue.Convenient Design: One of the best features is the two notches on the sides, which hold the strainer securely on the cup. This makes pouring hot liquids much easier and safer since the strainer stays in place.Perfect for Tea Bags: It’s great if you’re using tea bags, as the mesh catches all the fine particles, leaving you with a clear cup of tea or chai.Cons:Stains Over Time: I’ve noticed that after a few months of use, it has started to discolour, especially if used regularly with strong teas like chai. This doesn’t affect the performance, but if you’re particular about keeping things pristine, this could be a drawback. Not Ideal for Loose Tea: If you’re straining loose tea, especially finer varieties, you may find small bits of tea leaves making their way into your cup. The mesh is not quite fine enough to handle loose leaves perfectly.
