The best ear buds to block out sounds and get a good nights sleep!
I was recommended these by a friend because I was having sleep problems due to noise particularly in the summer. I have tried all sorts of ear plugs and they didn’t do the job. These are brilliant. I have recommended these to my mum and bought a set for my daughter. Recently I was very very ill in hospital. My bed was next to the nurses station and right next to the bells going off 24/7. These ear buds saved my sanity, I slept no problem. There is a nack to these ear buds I have discovered. They are rounded at one end and an odd shape at the other. I pinch and reduces the width of the rounded end and then put it into my ear. I hold it in my ear for a few seconds then let go. The ear buds expand but also partly come out of the ear. Don’t panic that they aren’t working. What they do is nestle into your outer ear and lodges there. I guide the ear buds into that position. You may worry once the ear buds are in position in the outer ear that the inner ear bit isn’t doing it’s job. It takes the inner section several seconds to expand into position too. I appreciate that this sounds a bit fiddly but I promise you it’s absolutely worth the fiddle to get a brilliant nights sleep. Because these ear buds sit into the outer ear, they don’t fall out. I make sure they are in position in the outer ear before I go to sleep. I find them comfortable and soft enough too. I can’t tell you how much money I’ve spent on anything that will block out noise, from expensive Bose noise cancelling head phones (too bulky to sleep in) I have also tried ordinary foam ear plugs and wax ear plugs. These are the only ones I have found successfully. I appreciate that they take a bit of getting use to, to fit into the ear, but they are worth their weight in gold. They block out my partner’s snoring and the birds singing right next to the open bedroom window at 4am!! The only thing I am concerned about is not hearing my alarm going off in the morning. At the moment I’m not working but I will be very soon. So far my brain has acknowledged hearing a faint familiar sound of the alarm. What I’m going to start doing is sticking my mobile phone under my pillow. My other option is to buy a vibrating alarm clock you pop under your pillow. It’s designed for people with hearing difficulties. I can’t be without my ear plugs now every night because they help me get to sleep so much quicker, I’m not laying in bed for over an hour listening to snoring or heavy breathing which drives me nuts! We all need our sleep to be able to function!!

Tested and recommended by knackered desperate parents!
These are just about the best ear plugs you can get. These have been thoroughly tried and tested over a number of years at my house ever since we made the utterly stupid decision to have children. "It'll be great!" I said. "Aww wouldn't it be lovely to have a little version of me and you running around?" she said. "I'm at a point in my life now where I think having a baby would just really fit in" I said. And here I am, years later buying yet another round of Max Lite earplugs, a huge bottle of Jim Beam and several rounds of codeine based pain killers. The good news for all prospective parents doing shift patterns to try and maintain each-other's sanity, these are awesome. Easy to fit, comfortable, and probably the best noise cancellation I've experienced. And I'm talking: moaning, screaming, randomly shouting "MUZZY!" at 3am, monitor's beeping, and a borderline senile cat meowing at a plug socket at random intervals. The only thing I would recommend with these is that you use them "sawn off" They are quite long, and I think it's much better for your ears in general as well as for comfort to just snip off the tips by a half cm. It doesn't impact their effectiveness. If you wanna sleep soundly like a nineteen year old with his whole life ahead of him and not a care in the world involving milk or Mr Tumble, then these are for you.

they work-despite poor instructions
I bought these after having used wax balls which were a bit messy. The first problem was working out how to use them given the poor diagrams on each pack. Although it shows you have to press them in with a finger, it doesn't make it clear for how long you need to do this .With much trial and error, I found you have to roll the thin end between thumb and finger (as was shown on pack) and then quickly insert with accuracy into the ear cavity. if you miss the hole or if the plug is not rolled firmly enough, it rolls back on itself on insertion thus preventing a tight fit .I find the best thing to do is twist briefly just prior to full insertion then keep pressing the plug (broad end out) with your finger for about 1/2 minute and then v.slowly release as the foam expands . I try to re-use each on at least 6 times ( rinsing in warm water ,then air-dry if a bit dirty) .I do a roll test after the first few times .If the thin end expands too quickly -which it won't do when fresh- I might discard. On the whole they produce about 70% noise reduction ensuring a better sleep. Tip: Test if inserted OK by flicking middle finger off the thumb a few times close to the ear-if it's faint it's OK. Pleasant dreams!

Simply The Best
Simply superb! I have been wearing ear plugs for almost 10 years, initially because of very noisy neighbours but now because I just can't sleep without them. Over the years I have tried a wide range of ear plugs, mainly foam, and these are by far the absolute best. They are incredibly comfortable compared to some others and they certainly do the job! My new neighbours like to have parties occasionally and they can be quite noisy sometimes at bedtime and although there aren't any ear plugs that eliminate noise completely, these cut out enough noise to allow a peaceful sleep. Another huge plus for me is that they stay in all night. Previous ear plugs that I have used have been uncomfortable or irritated me and I have removed them during the night. Give them a try and if you do I hope you're as happy with them as I am. I'll certainly be ordering more.

Still not small enough
I originally bought the 'Howard Leight Laser Lite Ear Plugs' which proved to be too big. I ordered these to try next as their website stated that they were for people with small ear canals, however, upon arrival I noted that they are exactly the same size as the first type I bought. Out of all the ear plugs I have tried, they are the most comfortable, and if they were just a little bit smaller they would be great. They do muffle the sound quite well. I assume, if they fit you properly they will work better. As they are, they are too big which means that sleeping in them is a little uncomfortable.

Ideal comfort for all day use
Typical Howard Leight earplugs. More comfortable with slightly less sound attenuation, a decent trade off when motorcycle touring as can be worn all day without issue. Also comfortable for night wear when sharing a room with snoring friends.

Comfy but low noise blocking
I used laserlite max for years but developed severe ear pain every night. The reviews for these looked good. No more ear pain but they're not great at blocking noise. I can clearly hear my white noise machine. I will try them for longer as no pain is great.

I can finally SLEEP again!
I am a long time (10+ years) nightly user of earplugs due to having a husband who snores louder than a freight train and has kept me awake/woken me up for the past 20 odd years with the noise! For the past decade I have been using Boots foam earplugs, which worked ok, but I have developed a severe allergy to them and had to try new ones (rather than smothering my sleeping hubby). These earplugs are truly a blessing and are MASSIVELY more effective than those from Boots. They feel soft and are easily squishable, and they quickly expand to fit very comfortably inside your ear. The shape also ensures a better seal in the ear opening, which helps block out more snoring than the cylinder shaped ones. While noise is not completely shut out, these plugs block 99% of my hubby's loud snores/grunts/sighs/coughs, as well as noise from his loud TV/Computer games/music. Each pair of earplugs is sealed in a plastic bag meaning they aren't open to the elements, so they are hygienic and convenient to store. They are a bigger length than the ones I was previously used to, but they are 100% more comfortable than any others I've used (and I've used soooooo many)! These earplugs are also way cheaper than the ones in Boots and I will be using these for as long as I possibly can! Considering that these were not on Prime, they arrived next day and I cannot recommend these highly enough and will be a repeat customer for years to come! (I just need to find a product that will help me combat my hubby's sleep fidgeting now!) 😉
