V60 Ceramic Coffee Dripper | V-Shaped Cone Coffee Dripper With Heat Retention, White, Size  01

Prior to this I had a combined Hario glass jug with V60 coffee dripper, which I accidentally smashed. Quite distraught at the idea of going back to my cafetiere (all those horrid grounds at the bottom of my cup, and less tasty coffee in the morning!) I decided to replace it, but then decided to buy this - essentially just the dripper element of my previous manual dripper - instead. The reasons for this were several: I had bought a nice coffee pot in a charity shop and thought I might be able to use this dripper with the pot (I can! It fits perfectly!); I always felt the glass jug lost heat very quickly; and finally, this seemed to be an easier way to make one cup over a mug rather than making a huge pot (my parter does not drink a lot of coffee). This product exceeded my expectations by looking beautiful and by fitting brilliantly on my coffee pot. If you usually have cafetiere coffee, I suggest giving a dripper a go - they are extremely easy to use (I am not a morning person, and have to get up very early for my job, and can easily manage to make a decent cup!), you get no gunky grounds in the bottom of your cup, and it is extremely easy to clean (just throw the filters in the bin and give the dripper a wash - no more scooping out gunky grounds or trying to wash them down the drain in the fear this choice might come back to haunt you in the form of a slimy blockage). I have never used a dripper other than the Hario brand - they are a little more pricey than others, but you can always give a cheap plastic version of the V60 a go first if you want to try it out. They are generally considered to make the best coffee, and I am pleased with the result every time - however, be aware that the filters are a little pricey and not easy to find in your local supermarket, so you will probably need to order them from Amazon or elsewhere. A different style of filter might be easier to find filters for, although in this 'internet age' there is really no cause to fuss. I can thoroughly recommend the manual filter dripper from Hario - it has changed my life (in a small but noticible way - at the end of the day, it is only coffee). However, be prepared to buy better quality coffee - the filter makes it easier to taste the coffee, so horrible coffee which is just about drinkable in a cafetiere will not cut the mustard with a filter!

Nothing wrong with the item. It is great - the iconic V60 in ceramic! Very cool! The bad review would be for Amazon Packaging and if I could give them zero stars, then I would. The item was boxed by the manufacturer but Amazon shipped it out in a thin brown paper bag. It arrived smashed into about 12 irreparable shards. The Returns Procedure was great - except that the replacement also arrived in the Amazon thin brown paper bag and was once again smashed to smithereens. Amazon’s Customer Service refunded me the cost and said they’d review the packaging for this item. What a shame - what a waste. I do not dare re-order the same item in case it arrives broken once again. So I’ve gone for the safer (but not so cool) plastic version. Very disappointing :(((

The original. I use it everyday and wouldn't want anything else anymore. For best performance, I buy the adequate Hario filters. Easy to clean, very sturdy, pleasure to use, makes great japanese style coffee.

The dripper is made of white porcelain, has a special interior design to help the flow though the dripper (should be used with the Hario V60 01 filter papers) and has a spigot on the bottom that keeps the dripper securely oriented in a cup. If you are a fanatic about brewing consistent, high quality, coffee that can be reproduced every cup you make, this is an absolute must have product in conjunction the filter papers, a dripper or other means to measure and slowly pour the water over the grounds in a controlled manner (usually 2 - 3 minutes) and a high quality coffee grinder ( I use a hand held, hand powered Hario mill). This is a top quality product.

Firstly, I was put off buying this for a while as one review seemed to suggest it's not ceramic - that's wrong, it is ceramic. The red is also a great colour, and it comes with a plastic measuring spoon which has a nice design and which is the same shade of red. I bought this with the corresponding size 2 filters by Hario, and can say it's great. Story time: The office I work at has a crazy big, expensive, and generally great coffee filter machine. Naturally, I made full use of it. I've been wanting to replicate it at home with some filter coffee of my own, but as I was getting it at the office, I couldn't justify making any at home as I didn't want to get addicted to coffee (more so than I currently am I suppose). However, now that I'm being forced to work from home (due to you-know-what), I was missing that sweet, sweet filter coffee. I don't have the space at home for a mega filter machine, and couldn't justify the cost of the smaller ones. That's when I took the plunge (the tiny, tiny plunge) of buying this. It's perfect, does the job just as you want it to, and I've got no regrets. It seems to be sturdy, as I said before it's ceramic, it looks great, and now that I'm back on proper coffee, I think my productivity will be back up too. Plus, since it's just a piece of ceramic at the end of the day, it's not got any parts that might break, it can be stowed away nicely, and it doesn't make a mess. Would definitely recommend if you just want a filter coffee without any fuss.

They take the heat out of the coffee despite pouring boiling water over it first to warm up- too much of a faff and the coffee is not warm enough by the time it drips through to the cup (I also pour boiling water into the cup to warm it first). I also put a saucer over to try to keep the heat in..

Tengo un v60 talla 2 que trabaja excelente para 800ml pero compre el 1 para hacer poco café y por taza y está genial. No se me enfría y los filtros tienen mejor costo. Lo recomiendo mucho para cantidades menores de café
