Sequoia, 3, LOVED this! Led to a game with me, grandma and granpa in which we sung and she accompanied us on this xylophone - she really listened, the colours helped her orient to the different pitches, it was really starting to build pitch awareness in her brain (I'm a music teacher) while she was completely in control and completely at play - no work. Highly recommended. Well made, well packaged, a lovely sound, a great buy.

Beautiful, well tuned, bright sound. Even though the sound boxes are made of plastic, they work very well to give a lively tone. Carry case is robust and easy to open and close. The only disappointment was the beaters which, with the plastic stems, feel a bit cheap and flimsy. You would definitely want to upgrade these as soon as possible. That may be sooner rather than later because they feel as if they are about to break.Particularly happy with the colour coding to match that of boomwhackers and other instruments in the range.Great gift for young musicians. Not easy to give away - they're so much fun.

As described, what more can you say about chime bars. Sounds great and son has lots of fun playing them

Bought for my two year old daughter who loves musical instruments. I can't recommend this enough. The sound is beautiful, much much nicer than regular toy xylophones. The bars can be moved around for extra fun. My daughter spends a lot of time playing with this….even her 8 year old brother and his friends love playing it….and so do I!! A little more expensive than a toy musical instrument but so worth it.

I am a musician & my son is 2. By using this chime bar set he is starting to understand that the 8 notes and the words 'do ray me far so la ti do' are linked. He sings the words more or less at the right pitch and enjoys it. He also whacks the hell out of it. This little set has a nice tone, especially when the bars are removed from the case and sat on the carpet. Nice tidy box. I'm really happy with this purchase.

Lovely and sturdy. I’ve paid a lot more for some from a music store and these ones are fare better and nicer colours. The children absolutely love using them in my sessions

Lovely travel case. Great that these can be separated, if more than one player wish to join in (but you would need to buy more sticks if so!)They are a little quieter than I would have liked but you can get a good sound with quite a firm hit :)Great for kids, or beginners!

I use the chime bars in school for music and the sound is excellent also as the chimes can be separated it is easy to move from using the full scale of C to the pentatonic scale on D. Excellent value for the price.
