Clamp it, CNC machined record clamp with sound improvement, Suitable for all turntables, Aluminium Silver

As soon as this was delivered, I ripped the box open and went to clamp my Depeche Mode album, and the thing wouldn't fit - as per my first picture. This was a birthday present from my wife and daughters, so I went to tell her it didn't fit the Pro-Ject turntable that it was made for and said, "Look, I'll show you". She came to look, and the thing slid on perfectly. I am unsure if magic was involved, but I am happy with it overall, and it does Clamp It! It does look the part, and it does what it says on the tin. It is quality workmanship but does seem a little high-end in terms of the price.

Really well made and finish. Definitely makes a difference used with my project debut pro along with some other upgrades I have done to the turntable. Expensive there are cheaper alternatives on the market but I was happy to pay the extra for the esthetics as well. Looks great on the turntable

Works really well, nice solid feel to it, high quality finish. Firm but delicate - so it doesnt feel like it would damage the record. I am using it with the Acrylic Pro-ject platter on a Debut 3 SE. One thing I will note however - when it first arrived, It wouldnt fit the spindle. I nearly began the returns procedure because it should fit but didnt - and then I noticed that it needed to have its clamp mechanism pushed down from top to bottom before trying to clamp it onto the spindle. So if you buy it and discover its not fitting the spindle properly, screw on the top section about half way, hold the bottom section and push it down (as if it was a stamp) before putting it onto the platter, you will see the centre tube click down to touch the leather underside and it will then work great. Id have given it 5 stars if this had been mentioned in the instructions...of which there were none. Has it made a difference to the sound? I bought it and fitted it at the same time as I got the Pro-Ject Acrylic platter so I cannot say how this performs on its own - but combined, they both made a big difference to the tightness and detail in the bass. I had some jazz records where previously the double bass section was just a boomy thud sound whereas now i can hear the creak of the bow and deep vibration of the string. It has made the whole soundstage feel more detailed and much better resolved than before. How does it look? It looks great! Smaller than I expected, I expected it would cover the whole sticker, but its a bit smaller than that. Would I recommend it? Yes - especially if you are using an acrylic platter. Is it worth the money? Well it depends on if you have invested elsewhere first. I would not say this is the first thing you should buy if you have a compatible turntable, consider other parts of your system first - but its a great and cost effective upgrade to a turntable like the Debut 3.

Long story, short.. I purchased a limited edition 12" single from a Vinyl shop on-line. When it arrived it was badly warped and unplayable. The retailer offed a full refund rather than a replacement because they had no more stock and it wasn't possible to reorder so I decided to keep it. I already have ProJect 'weight puk' but that made no difference. I purchased the ProJect clamp in the hope that it would help. It worked a treat! The record isn't completely flat but it nearly is and I can play it now! Reading other reviews ensured that I unscrewed the top before fitting and then tighten it up. Very happy, see before and after pictures.

Good quality clamp it a little pricey make sure you press down lightly on the top with the top party screwed down before you use it to make sure the bit that fits on the spindal is all the way down. If you don't do this the clamp might not fit.

Bought this at the same time as buying the Acryl It platter for my Project Debut Carbon as I thought the record my slip when brushing it prior to playing. The clamp is very well made and simple to use, it just fits over the spindle and a quick turn of the knurled knob on top tightens it to the spindle, it doesn't add much weight to the platter so I don't think they'll be any effect on the bearing. It does help to flatten a warped record to make it more playable. It is very quick and simple to use so I'm using it all the time - very difficult to tell if it has made a difference on it's own to the sound as I said I've change the platter at the same time, whilst totally irrelevant I do think it looks good on the turntable especially if some light catches the knurling as it's spinning. It might seem expensive but it's well made (leather base to protect your label) and gives me piece of mind when brushing the record and possibly compliments the Acryl It platter - no regrets in the purchase

I bought this to reduce some warping while playing back older vinyl records, after deducing how to fit it to the spindle owing to the absence of any instructions, (you just get the clamp in a box, nothing else) I found that it made no difference to the how much of a warped vinyl was making contact with the platter. I have tried the clamp on various records and with various amounts of tightness and still it has made no difference to how closely warped vinyl lays on the platter, instructions would surely have been helpful but presumably they are absent because this product is largely self-explanatory, you just put the clamp in place and screw the top on until it is tight, if doing results in no difference then it is simply a worthless product, all the more hard to take given it is twice the price of other similar products.

The quality of this record clamp is exceptional! The knurled clamp on the top is really well produced and looks brilliant when it’s turning on the record. The surface that mates to the record is a really nice leather and it really helps to improve the sound of the vinyl

Der Clap It macht genau das, was er soll, nämlich die Schallplatte fest auf dem Plattenteller stabilisieren. Ich betreibe den Clamp It mit einem Pro Ject Debut Carbon Esprit. Da der Motor des Spielers nicht unbedingt der Kräftigste ist, gefällt mit sehr, dass der Clamp It nicht über Eigenhewicht, sondern einen Klemmmechanismus funktioniert. Der Motor wird also nicht zusätzlich belastet. Klanglich kann ich im Vergleich zu vorher keinerlei Unterschiede feststellen. Dazu muss ich erwähnen, dass ich bislang nur mit neuen Platten getestet habe. Mir ging es vorallem um einen optisch Mehrwert und der Clamp It sieht wirklich klasse aus auf meinem Plattenspieler. Die Qualität ist sehr wertig und die Montage ist kinderleicht, wenn man erst einmal weiß, dass der obere Teil zum Befestigen abgeschraubt bzw. gelockert werden muss. Das ist gleichzeitig auch der einzige Kritikpunkt: Bedienungsanleitung Fehlanzeige. Am Ende des Tages ist er sein Geld wert, da er im Vergleich zu günstigeren Modellen, deutlich schicker daherkommt und dennoch im mittleren Preissegment rangiert.

I bought this product because I have a project turntable and wasn’t disappointed it’s well made the weight is perfect and easy to use !!

Upgraded to the acrylic platter and needed a clamp. A weight didn't cut it. This functions nicely. It clamps to the spindle and keeps the record stationary against the platter. It seems well built. While a bit pricey, it has some nice detailing. Watching it spin is quite hypnotic.
