Great for kids of all ages
It’s ultimately a simple game of bluff and deduction. The kids (youngest was 9) had a great time with it and got it right away. YouTube can help to explain the rules, which are very straight forward but confusing to understand at first.

Excellent game, a lot of fun
Sherlock Holmes The Card Game offers an easy to pick-up game which will see you trying to deceive your opponents as you attempt to give up your villain cards or at the very least pin the blame on someone else. The game is great fun, especially for smaller groups (3+ as a minimum though). The game itself is very well-packaged and of good quality, with especially thick cards which will surely last. Each player can also have a reminder card to keep them abreast of the rules and how each card will work. There could be slightly more variety in the locations on offer (although a minor point), as the same location cards frequently appear during gameplay. Generally though this is a well-thought out game.Overall I would recommend Sherlock Holmes The Card Game to those experienced board game players as well as those who want to try something a bit different from the norm.

Interesting game once you understand the rules
A great game for anyone familiar with Sherlock or not. The aim of the game is to try and catch a player who is holding a villain card, whilst having the lowest number of points in your hand. There are a number of other cards, such as to move locations or provide an allibi. You can then play a number of rounds to see who can score the lowest points across them all.The rules can seem a little complicated, but make sense with time and there are some quick reference cards which can help. I would also say that it is better to play with more people, but it can still work with less.

A very good multi-player game
This is quite an old game now but is actually a quite clever and engaging card game, particularly for slightly larger groups, and has left the family wanting to play multiple times one after the other. Each game is quite short really so it does not require you to have huge amounts of time, the set up is simple and quick and the space required is just a little table to place the cards. It is quite tactical in play really and, although you can play with just three people it lends itself far more to slightly bigger groups as it is more subtle working out where the criminal is as well as other special cards. A good game, well worth a try.

Excellent card game
We are a group of war gamers who also play board games. We wanted a game that was easy to play, fun and could be easily played in an evening. It also need a historical perspective. This game came up trumps. The cards are well produced, the instructions are slightly confusing at first but by the second game, it all became clear. Great fun and a well put together game ., well packaged, the note pad is a nice addition, a slight niggle, it would have been nice for this pad to be printed with columns for scoring. Overall a great game that will get a lot of use

What a fun, laugh inducing game. Please play!!
We got this game after playing it with my family over Christmas and we still love it. Took it to Scotland when we went to keep us occupied in the evenings and it had us laughing every night. The fact that games can either be really short or very long is brilliant and so much fun as it is a surprise every time.It can take a little while to understand what you are doing in the game but once you get it you will never forget.I really recommend this game to anyone, even if you're not a fan of Sherlock, you can have huge amounts of fun playing.

You don't have to be a Sherlock fan to play this.
My 14yr old granddaughter is Sherlock mad at moment so bought this game out of her own money. It was a bit confusing to follow the rules to start with, but once we did a trial run, it was plain sailing from there on. A great game where cluedo meets chase the ace, you need to apply strategy and logic, though certain cards can throw you off guard when you have to redeal your hand and start again. A fun game which gets better the more you play.Recommend for ages 10+You don't have to be a Sherlock fan to play this.Though you will need the ability to laugh. The ability to read is also advantageous. For three players plus.Comes in a neat box (a bit bigger than A5 but square)I would also recommend getting this game when it's on offer as £19.99 is a bit steep for what it is.
