The original and best
I've tried a few air blowers for my camera in the past, and after finally getting the Giottos I wish I hadn't. This is just top quality and works perfectly. It's very well constructed, with no areas of weakness, the seals around the air shoot and back air intake are very well put together. The back air intake is such a clever idea, as it eliminates the chance of a back flow when the rocket is refilling with air, and as the main shoot is small for precise application, the back intake is larger, so it refills with air in a split second. The rubber is excellent quality and thick, it emits a powerful blast of air, good enough to dislodge most bits of dust on your camera lens or sensor, unless stuck fast. It's also great for my MacBook, which seems to collect dust even when the lid is closed. I'd guess that this would be a great impromptu cooling aid in a hot office too! All in all, it took a while to get to this, but I'm so glad I finally did.

Easy to use and very effective.
Great hand powered blower. Used to dust off my camera lenses and computer keyboard. Worth every penny and no need for batteries!

Cheaper and safer than canned air, almost as powerful- depends how hard you squeeze! (and it looks like a rocket!!)
Other reviews have criticised the build quality of this item. I have had no such trouble. It does a great job removing dust from stuff. It's aesthetically pleasing aswell- IT'S SHAPED LIKE A ROCKET! YAY! and a little squeeze can give you quite a strong blast of air, perfect for getting dust off photography kit. And Computers, and the crevices in mobile phones and any other device that I happen to spy when I have it at hand. I even sneak up on members of my family and blast them with a shot of air to the back of the neck. Much to the annoyance of my wife however, My three month old doesn't seem to mind. She pulls some funny faces when I'm blowing the air on her wee hands and feet, so I think it meets with her approval. If you're inexperienced at squirting air at things and haven't used canned air on precious stuff- don't. It tends to squirt propellant/icy white stuff into the important bits, when you're not expecting it and you end up doing that thing when you can feel yourself either going bright red or pale white (depends on the cost/importance of item) and immediately starting to sweat as you suspect you've broken your nice thing. This will not do that, however it can't give you a prolonged blast of air, just a brief squirt, but you can squirt it as many times as you like as it won't run out, and the running costs are zero. AND IT LOOKS LIKE A ROCKET! I Heartily recommend this product and give it my full endorsement!

Giottos Air Blower
Having recently upgraded to a new camera and lenses, we wanted to make sure we took good care of them. This air blower helps to remove dust from camera lenses without the risk of scratching the lens. It does work quite well, although I haven't given it 5 stars because it is surprisingly large, and the power of the blow left me feeling a little under-whelmed given the size. I tend not to take it out with me, as it takes up a fair amount of room, but it is handy to clean off lenses when I return from a shoot. The build quality seems good, and I'm sure it will last a long time. Overall, although it didn't blow me away (see what I did there?), this is a good product, and comes recommended.

Giottos Rocket Air Blower
This is an excellent product in my opinion. I originally bought a small grey 'puffer' style blower (with a brush on the end) from a local photographic shop, with the aim of removing a couple of small hairs that had managed to find their way into the mirror mechanism of my digital SLR. Rather than clearing away the hairs, the 'puffer' actually deposited yet more hairs from its brush. The small 'puffer' was absolutely useless. On looking through the Internet, I came across the Giottos Rocket Air Blower which I thought I would try. The product delivers a good, strong puff of air, which is still gentle enough to remove hair/dust from the inside mechanism of my camera. It worked first time and all of the hair (and brush hairs that the inferior puffer had deposited) were gone. The Giottos product was definitely worth the money. In terms of its build quality, the product is built using strong, thick (but obviously flexible) black rubber. The air nozzle at the top is red rigid ABS plastic with a small hole through which the air is delivered. It can deliver both a gentle or strong puff of air, dependent on how hard you squeeze the body of the blower. In terms of application, according to the packaging, it can be used for computer and communication equipment, traditional and electrical musical instruments and photo, video and precision optical equipment. The packaging says 'Not recommended for CCD sensor cleaning'. Overall, a good, solid product and money well spent in my opinion.

Works a treat but is rather large.
The first thing to say about this blower is that it is huge! I Just measured it and it is 7 ½ inches (19.5cm) tall when standing on its legs. The size has both advantages and disadvantages. The advantage is that it blows a really large and strong puff of air. The disadvantage is that it takes up a lot of room in your camera bag if you want to take with you. For cleaning dust from your DSLR sensor it works a treat. It has a clever inbuilt valve so that air is sucked in from the back and blown out the front nozzle. This means that it reduces the chance of the blower sucking up any dust you just blew away. My new Canon EOS 500D already had a couple of specks of dust on the sensor after only a couple of weeks of careful use. This cleaned them off with just a few puffs. I then got carried away and cleaned my PC and laptop keyboards (after putting my lens back on of course!) It is easily up to that task too! Overall: 5 stars. Works an absolute treat but be aware of the size if you want to carry it around with you.

Worth it all
i have never experienced so much hand, thumb, and wrist cramp in my entire life. this is my first blower - i looked at the much cheaper amazon basics one and skimmed through reviews. £10 more for an item that will last and continue to do amazing work is absolutely a worthy investement in my opinion. i originally got this planning to just use it on my computer but oh my god! its amazing! i have been squeezing this tiny rocket at everything; 1. an upright bladeless-style fan ive had for years and now i can actually see through the thin grills! (had previously been cleaning it with tissue/wet wipes/feather dusters but nothing got much off compared to this) 2. my desk - instead of taking everything off of it to wipe it down every 1-2 weeks i can gladly just blow the dust away and plan on doing more thorough desk-wipings to only once or twice a month 3. alexa - i have an old echo dot (maybe 2nd generation? whichever one doesnt have the fabric edges) and decided to blow off the dust from on top of her and from the tiny microphone. maybe this is bad? i cant really see how this would be more damaging compared to just leaving dust settle in there and clog up the mic 4. keyboard, the bit under the keycaps will never be spotless but this is a huge improvement to what it was rocket is a bit hard to aim when youre squeezing a lot but its probably because im so unfit i am typing this review with very aching hands because its that good.

Matron! It's so big!
This is currently the rudest object I own, or at least it *was* when I wrote this review originally. I didn't realise how large it was; I assumed it was the size of a pen. In fact the bulb is meaty and fist-sized. Man-sized, even. I find it impossible to squeeze it without thinking of the Carry On films. Or bull semen. It is easy to use. You insert the red tip into the appropriate orifice (but not all the way), and then you deftly squeeze the thick, black stem, and it shoots its load OF AIR. The jet isn't so powerful that it will damage anything, but you wouldn't want to shoot it into your eye. It's better than blowing with your mouth, because there's no chance of staining the target with sputum. I also have a Lenspen, which works very well on stubborn specks but is laborious, and I'm always worried that I might nudge the shutter. The two devices go well together. Of course the Rocket doesn't actually suck out the dust, it just moves it about, but as long as you make sure that you're in a relatively dust-free environment (e.g. outdoors in the alps) it should be a lot more effective than wiping the lens mount with your sleeve. Best of all, it's a great conversation-opener and it makes people smile, women especially, and that's worth more than money.

But this
Very functional. Cheap price. We all use this on set for lens changes. The fins allow it to stand upright, and you can hang it on your belt/bag/cart. It blows decently. Recommend.

Ça souffle !
Un outil indispensable pour les photographes, cette poire soufflante est bien puissante, parfait pour dépoussiérer ses objectifs photo, voir le capteur de ses boitiers.
