Protone voodoo floss band for mobility/muscle compression/recovery band

I have suffered from tendinosis in both knees for over 3 months now and elbow tendinitis for around 1 month. Having voodoo flossed only for a few days, my pain is almost completely gone and I have been able to return to training without restriction. Bands arrived quickly and are a good quality, equivalent to Rouge bands and similar price (only get 1) but very happy overall

I purchased this, after reading excellent reviews of the voodoo floss bands. The precise physiological mechanisms of the said bands seems to unknown. However, it has proved to be effective on a long term injury problem, which had failed to respond to many other treatments. So as far as I am concerned it was a great purchase and one that I would certainly make again.

I like the product. I bought it on a recommendation from a colleague as my knee has been given me problems. This appears to be helping to reduce the pain I get. The only thing I don't like is when you have to wrap around the leg. I am sure I will find a quicker way. Other than that Supplier was on time and product is good quality.

I’ve tried a few floss bands and they all do the job but most are ‘slippy’ they often unravel in use but this one doesn’t, it sticks.

I came across voodoo floss in the book “How to become a supple leopard”. I had a number of resistance bands from previous physio visits so used them and they were ok, but I thought it might be worth trying a proper voodoo floss band. The protone band is excellent and I have found it is so much better. As an example I’ve had discomfort in the foot and ankle, after wrapping using the voodoo band, it honestly feels like I have a brand new foot. Really good. I would highly recommend.

As mentioned in other reviews this is a decent product that seems to alleviate symptoms and increase mobility, in my case a sprained wrist. The major negative is that the powder coating burns if it comes any where near your face and is impossible to wash off or alleviate. It is very much like rubbing your eyes after cutting chillies despite washing hands thoroughly. If you are a professional intending for use on clients do not purchase, conversely if it's for personal use take great care as even washing doesn't seem to make much difference.

Just to make it clear, you only get one band, you have to chose which one you want. The black one is thinner than the red one and therefore offers less resistance. I've heard of some people using the black one for their arms and red one for their legs, thinking the red will be too strong for their arms. Personally I disagree. I just use the red one for everything but that is due to my build - I am a powerlifter and weigh 103kg at 181cm. You will have to make an educated guess as to which is best for your build. These are obviously great for flossing your muscle, however I have also used them for joint problems with a lot of success. I get tendinitis in my elbows which flairs up with a lot of volume training. A day after my training (I think it's too much stress to use straight after training) I wrap my elbows tight and move the joint until my fingers go numb then unwrap. I find this has alleviated my tendinitis quite significantly. I have also used the same method in rehabilitating a minor ACL tear. I've never had an injury like that before, so I can't speak to the effectiveness of the method, but I will say that it has healed in less time than I had expected - it definitely didn't make anything worse.

I have had tennis elbow injury for about 5 months, along with some other tendonitis in the arm. The tennis elbow (pain right inside the elbow joint has been the last area to heal, and has been very stubborn. Having looked around for potential solution I came across this floss band and thought I would give it a try as nothing else seemed to be working. It arrived next day, I used it twice that day and the next morning was very pleased to find I was in no pain. I have carried on using twice a day (Youtube has useful demos of what to do) and still on day 2 - I am not in any pain. Its too early to say is this a long term fix but the improvement is significant. If you have tennis elbow and its slow to heal you really must give this a try
