Confused, does this take milk and/or water to make drink, and how many different pods are there?

This only takes in water. No milk is used. The capsules are rotating as the coffee is being made which creates the crema which can look like foam from milk.

Is it possible to make Latte and Cappuchino type coffees with this?

Yes, absolutely. The machine is different from the original Nespresso, in that the capsules are designed to make mugs and grande (tall) coffees, rather than espressos. I generally just had 1/4 milk to a grande capsule and have myself a nice strong latte. If you want to texturise the milk then sure, you'll need a frother of some sort (Nespresso do a very nice, but very expensive barister milk prepper) but I haven't bottered to date. The machine gives a great creaming texture anyway. Hope this helps.

It’s at least 1 litre. Comfortable does 4 mugs.
