One of Oliver Jeffers' best. Beautiful illustrations. Very sweet, touching story. Kids of all ages would like it.

I love this book - it's got beautiful illustrations - both simple and detailed at the same time. The expression in the illustrations is lovely - I don't know if our 15 month old appreciates them but I certainly do when reading this to him. Having it as a board book is great as he can turn the pages and look through it on his own. The story is about how a boy (who is called 'boy' so you can even substitute your childs' name if you really want to!) tries to return to a penguin that turns up on his doorstep to the South Pole but once he leaves him there he realises that the penguin was just lonely - ahhh. Needless to say despite a terrifying moment where they look like they'll miss each other they are successfully reunited and all is well. A must have, a book I know we'll treasure for years to come!

Have had a copy of this for years so bought another for someone else. Beautiful illustrations and such a lovely, touching storyline.

Very well illustrated, good story for young kids if slightly simplistic

Beautiful story that any young or traumatized kids love and have it read to them every night!

Lost and Found is about a penguin ending up on a boy's doorstep. the boy thinks that he is lost. He thinks someone might be missing a penguin so he checks the lost and found office. No one was missing a penguin so they got out the boy's boat and set off for sea. The boy told the penguin stories. They travelled through good weather and bad weather. Soon they arrived at the South Pole. Will they be happy there? I would recommend this book to Year 6 because they'll probably enjoy it. I enjoyed reading this book which is why I gave it 5 stars. My favourite bit was when the penguin and the boy became great friends. I bet you'll really enjoy it. Caoimhe (Year 2 student)

Beautiful story. Great quality book.

Perhaps it is because he had already liked penguins when I got this book, it became a massive hit with my son. We read it every day multiple times, he loves the story. The pictures and the book quality (we have a board book) are great.

My 3 year old son really loves this book and other books written by Oliver Jeffers. I read his books to my son every night and he is so engaged. We can finish 3 books in a row. So glad that I have come across his books and read it to my son, it was worth it!

Es una historia muy bonita sobre la amistad. Tiene unas ilustraciones preciosas y poco texto por lo que es adecuado para niños pequeños (A partir de 4-5 años). El formato tapa dura es bastante grande y viene con sobrecubierta lo que hará sin duda que el libro dure más. Se le ve un libro de muy buena calidad con hojas de papel grueso. Es una historia con poco texto y un lenguaje sencillo por lo que decidí comprarlo en versión original. Se entiende muy bien ya que no usa palabras poco habituales o frases complejas.
