Can this be used with air dry clay

I have used it with air dry cay and I have not experienced a problem I think it works as well for both sugar paste and air dry (DO NOT use the same mat for both though if you want to do that buy two and mark accordingly). I have not tried it with plasticine types or oven dried types so I can't help there..sorry.

Is this a foam for sugar craft? Item description further into listing states it's plastic?! Is it any good for sugar craft petals?

It is foam pad but denser than normal foam. Ive personally used it with sugarpaste to shape petals and found this pad excellent quality.

I bought Air Dry Clay not edible used in silicone moulds or modelled by hand and is used in papercrafting, mixed media/mdf work and other modelling ideas is different from porcelain clay as this is essentially paper and glue I think Is not sugarcraft i.e. edible, should have separate set of modelling equipment for it.

Hi. I would not recommend this item for use with paper raft. There is what's called an embossing mat which I bought for doing parchment craft which I think would be more suited to your requirements. Search Pergamano items. Hope this helps.
