Stand still the front rank
I have often pondered whether I should sue the MOD for RSI arising out of the millions of circular movements my right index finger was forced to undertake some 52 years ago when I was undergoing basic training, followed by periodic sessions for parades etc over the following 21 years. At that time there was an obligation to purchase large thick dusters from the NAAFI and equally large thick tins of Kiwi black boot polish. It appears that those days are mainly over, Kiwi boot Polish is no longer available in the same quantities and the quality dusters, thick as blankets, have disappeared. Thankfully as our son enters basic training, I was able to source Kiwi black and brown polish ahead of him starting phase 1 training and having undertaking some research purchased this cloth. I believe that much of the BS which I undertook taking two pairs of DMS boots to totally gleaming (best boots) and toes and heels (workers) have gone, although I believe the shoes remain which take very little time to bring up to a mirror like finish. Gone are the heavily stippled boots (my first pair of ‘ammo boots’) and for most the need to get these waxed. So how does this cloth compare to the NAAFI yellow duster? Pretty good actually, but it will never replace the effect of rendering the end of your index finger to look like a black and yellow prune. Nice product, does the job very well but thankfully I think there is a greater focus now on developing soldiers than giving them countless hours of polishing boots. Nice item, does the job well and essential kit for a recruit.

Perfect polishing cloth for all types of job.
Perfect polishing cloth for silver. I won't buy any type, I used this type of clith for 23 years in the Army for polishing button, buckles belt hooks and bulling boots. Highly recommended.

Works well to bull and polish
This Selvyt cloth works well to apply multiple layers of polish to boots and works well to bull to get a good shine on your boots! It has a smooth side and a textured side, both aiding in the application of polish. Recommended to use with Kiwi boot polish; any colour. Expensive for what it is, but a good quality product!

Value for money
Whilst I initially thought the cloth would be expensive for what it is - the quality is high, as a result I have gotten a lot of use out of it and whilst it is starting to show signs of deterioration (I use it at least 3 times a week) there is still PLENTY of life in it. A must have if you need to bull shine your boots!

No other compares
Only cloth to use for bulling boots and shoes. Washable. I’d recommend a bigger size if you use it a lot.

Good But Could Be Better
Excellent soft cloth but in my opinion too small. 35x35cm would be a far better size to provide a nice handful of cloth in the grip to work with. Had it been bigger and soft on both sides I would give it 5 stars.
