Well Built, last even in a saltwater enviornment..
I don't do too many reviews but I am a commercial fisherman/clamming and use a ratched every day to put 4 aluminum clam poles together using hose clamps. I use this stubby ratchet with a 5/16th socket to tighten the hose clamps and my hands are always soading in salt water. Most of the tools I use for this only last a couple months and they lock up due to rust but I was just going through my previous orders and saw that I had ordered my Tommars 1/4" Stubby over a year ago in Aug. of 2024 and it's still going strong! I do dribble a little liquid wrench on it every couple days and it keeps on ticking. Must have high quality internals to soak in saltwater for a year and still work.. will definitly buy more..

Compact design works out great for my need...
It works well for a small ratchet. Needed one to keep in my car for emergency purposes. This is working out well for me. It feels solid due to it's weight. Being a stubby ratchet, I wouldn't use it for general use, but it's perfect for what I needed.

Really excellent stubby!
I wanted to start this by saying "excellent stubby for the price" but it is just an "excellent stubby." I have a bit of a ratchet problem... I have 20+ 3/8" Dr. ratchets of all levels of quality. I have Snap-On, Ko-ken, Nepros, Astro Tools, TONE and even some Harbor Freight ratchets from Pittsburgh and Icon. Comparing this Tommars with all of those, I would still say this is a great ratchet. It is comfortable in the hand, has a good fit with sockets and surprisingly low backdrag. The fitment with sockets isn't quite on par with Ko-ken nor is the backdrag as low but they are pretty close. Alas, I cannot neglect to mention it's really low price point. I would very much recommend this for anyone wanting a stubby 3/8" dr. ratchet. I am actually buying another to keep in the toolbox in the car.

Cute, Handy, Light Weight, Inexpensive, Works Well, Pocket Size
Fits right in your pocked with a socket attached and hardly noticeable! Works great for vehicle license plate removal & cleaning / correct size and leverage for battery terminal removal / gets into small areas like electrical boxes easily for grounding studs / good for computer boards, cases, drive hardware.

Heavy duty
First thing I noticed is how hefty this little guy is, it is heavier than my snap on version. This is a very solid ratchet. I got this one for my tractor tool box and am not sorry at all, even though it was inexpensive it works very well.

Perfect for small spaces
The TOMMARS 3/8‑Inch Drive Stubby Ratchet is very well made and an absolute lifesaver. I used it while doing the valve cover gaskets on my 2011 Tundra, and the compact size made working in tight spaces so much easier. The 72‑tooth mechanism is smooth, the quick‑release head works great, and it feels solid in the hand. This ratchet turned a frustrating job into a manageable one and has quickly become one of my go‑to tools.
