HDMI Capture Cards - HDMI to USB Video Capture Card Record Directly to Computer for Gaming, Streaming, Teaching, Video Conference or Live Broadcasting

So, a while back I purchased an ultra-short throw projector. The PH450U by LG. While it makes for a great solution as a budget home cinema, gaming, and TV solution, it does have short comings. One drawback is the single HDMI out. That’s what brought me to the conclusion of using a switch.I will say before continuing, it is worth a few bucks more to get one of the switches with a remote.The tech is simple enough. Plug in the HDMI out to the one port and then plug in to up to three sources. A green LED indicator notifies you of the active source. Simply enough it just bypasses channels.For a reasonable price it comes with enough length to cable manage it. The downside to the model I have is that you have to manually switch the inputs with the button on top. So routing it behind a table, and using the mounting holes to mount it can be a negative. While having everything hidden is great, it is just a pain to have to reach and feel for the button (when mounted out of site) and watch for the right device to come up on the screen. First world problems right…The benefits to having a switch device like this outweigh the cons of not having one.The quality falls in the middle. The housing around the inputs (and where you can mount screws via the sockets) is all plastic construction. Be cautious not to damage the housing with over tightening. I would have preferred a metal housing, but this works fine for me.I do not see what generation of HDMI is utilized, but at a minimum I imagine it is 1.4. HDMI 1.4 allows UHD 3840x2160 @ 30FPS. HDMI 2.0 (which would be a bit more costly if I were being realistic) allows 18Gbps and 3840x2160 @ 60FPS.Some sources require micro USB for additional power. USBNOVEL does not include a micro USB with the product I have, but I suppose it makes sense. I would have liked to have one included as I wanted to use a slim Roku stick on it as well. In order to do this, the switcher requires additional power.One issue I did encounter (as mentioned above) was with a Roku stick. I plugged HDMI from our Nintendo Switch console in to port one, an HDMI from the cable box in to port two, and a slim Roku stick (powered separately by the wall outlet) in to slot three. When I swapped to the Roku It started flickering between the Roku menu screen and digital static. I’m not sure what was causing this to happen. I did reach out to USBNOVEL about the issue and they informed me I needed additional power to the device. The problem was solved, and as stated, it would have been nice to have an included micro USB cable.There is not a lot to say other than this worked well for me in what I needed. I plan on sharing with the many others who suffer from the one HDMI output issue. We take adapters and devices like this for granted. When we need something like this, it is nice to have good affordable options that help us with our little problems and improve the quality of the luxuries in life.I’ll upload a quick video about it once I have it completed. It generally works; I have two dvd players plugged into it because of limited connections elsewhere; I ave left the 3rd connection remaining unused. about every second or third time I use it, if fouls up in one of a host of different ways. some of the functions of the dvd players plugged into the switch don't work unless unplugged and plugged back in or re-routed around the switch; the picture comes but with no sound; the sound comes with no picture. All of it fixable, but frankly that is NOT the purpose of this switch;;;; CONVENIENCE is the purchase and therefore, the only thing the machine is for, it struggles mightily to do. No I do not recommend this machine. I voted a higher score earlier but that was because I was literally dogged to write a review before I had even a chance to open the package and use the switch. I have now used it for a couple weeks and this is the kind score I give to it. shipping, packaging, etc. all just fine. Sincerely,UPDATE: I believe that I may have been wrong about this HDMI switch. After more troubleshooting, I believe that the problems I was suffering were due the Samsung One Connect tool that must be used with my KS8500 tv. Today, completely unplugged the entire system, reset everything and then, I plugged other equipment "directly" into the Samsung One Connect box.. I found I get the same connection problems when this HDMI switch is not involved at all. Hence, the USBNOVEL 4k HDMI switch 3 Port Cable Video Source IS NOT MY PROBLEM. The USBNOVEL switch, frankly, at this time, works better through the Samsung One Connect box than any of my other equipment that has been connected to the Samsung One Connect box. ALSO, the USBNOVEL, is a great carrier of the 4k UHD signal in my opinion. I have never used another so I cannot compare, but it works so well, I will not seek another to compare it with. After all I have been through, I am a bit embarrassed that I wrote the review too soon. I am now satisfied that I could do no better than the USBNOVEL switch and would definitely purchase it again.

So far , it has been much easier to work than the first one I had bought ( with very , very bright blue led's .Could never really figure out to work it , knew how it should work , it would just keep flashing , did I say it was bright ? ) The brightness of this one is low key ( for me just right ) . For see a long time use of this product . The only negative ( for me ) is that the connection to the TV could be a bit shorter , other than that its just fine .

This is the second hub I've purchased. I had purchased the first one for use in my office and it worked so well I purchased a second one for our living room TV. We hook an Amazon Fire Stick and a Google Chromecast stick on it and they work beautifully.

Product did exactly what I needed. Would purchase again.

Ordered device and then realized my Samsun had extra USB ports . In the process found that this device did not switch automatically from one feed to another

Worked really well. I used it to create more HDMI ports for use with a Roku.

Didn’t need but well made. Returned.

Works perfectly, does exactly what the description says it does and the product was right on time.
