Soar into Neverland with this stunning pop-up book. Intricate 3D designs and interactive details bring the classic tale to life. A captivating gift for all ages. Review: What a beautiful book! - Truly a work of art. One of the most beautiful pop-up books I think I've ever seen. A treat for children and adults alike. Review: Beautiful book - I bought this because my sons had recently seen the Paddington 2 movie that had a pop up book in it and had never seen one before. When i was browsing on desertcart i came across this. It had great reviews and was on sale so i thought we'd give it a go. It arrived yesterday and is much more substantial than i was expecting. The book itself is an adaptation of the story of Peter Pan. The text is contain at the side and even within that there are small pop ups. But the main pop ups between the pages are glorious. The advantage of the format is that the kids can focus on the main pop up which has lots of detail while you read them the text. We decided given my children are young to treat each page as a 'chapter' so we'll be reading and enjoying the book over a few days. As an adult i can really appreciate the beauty of this book and as a child it is wondrous and engaging. in an age where our homes seem to be filled with plastic crap this is a real treat.

Pop-up books have certainly moved on from when I was a kid...
We looked at this product in numerous well known High Street book retailers, however these retailers do not do anything about customers opening the packaging and leafing through the books at will. Every single Peter Pan book in the retailers was damaged in some way or another by careless customers, and at £20 we wanted it to be as perfect as possible - particularly as it was a gift. Therefore I checked on Amazon, and I was not disappointed... Firstly Amazon delivered it perfectly well, sealed and untouched by careless shoppers (unlike the High Street ones), the book was immaculate. Then when you open it, you are in for a real treat. The pop-up book artwork is so intricate and well crafted, words do not do it justice!!! I didn't know it was possible to make pop-up books come to life in this way, it's just superb. I turned into a child just looking through these visual delights as each page was turned. This is a remarkable book, and this, coming from someone like me who is difficult to impress :) Oh one other thing, Amazon were selling this for almost half the price of the High Street retailer at the time of purchase, and it IS exactly the same book! A note to the High Street retailers... Put a 'demo version' of this book out for people to look through, and keep the remainder stored safely in the stock room for people to purchase - simple! It is a travesty that so many of these amazing books end up potentially unsaleable due to being damaged.

Fantastic book
This book is so Fantastical in its construction, it is awe inspiring. This is a self indulgent purchase, just to witness the craftsmanship.there are 5 main spreads, with mini pages and more pop-ups on each page. Highly recommended, although I'd say it's more of a look, don't touch for the younger audiences.

SUPERB POP UP SCENES
Our grandson, aged 5yrs is so intrigued with each of the pop-up scenes --he's a little young to stay sat down and listen to the story for long periods- so we have short readings each time- It will no doubt become a treasured book and we're sure he'll LOVE the story!

I bought this pop up book for a little girl. She loves it. Its a wow pop up book, great detail. a serious amount of work gone in this book. It takes reading to an new exciting level for any child. I have bought 3 pop up books from the same author. I highly recommend this book. If you are curious of how good this book is. Do pop it into youtube and view. I have done this with all of the above authors books.

C'est un magnifique livre, emballage bien solid. Je recommends de regarder les videos sur Youtube car les photos ne montrent pas vraiment, il est tellement fantastique. Par contre pas pour les petits mains, les feuilles pop-up sont trop fragilees.

After collecting 16 of Sabuda's and Reinhart's pop-up books it is fun to compare them in both the illustration styles and the pop-up engineering! Each pop-up 2 page spread is a treat to examine and I ask myself "How did they do that?"The 2 page mermaid spread with Peter and 3 pretty mermaids reclining on a rock, with each mermaid in a playful pose is an example of the "How'd they do that?!" reaction! The pop-up movement of the characters with peter's feet crossing and the mermaid's bodies bobbing up and down on the rock when spreading and closing the pages slightly is both charming and magical!! I also like the attention to detail like the shiny silver scales on the fishtails! And the books have interesting views of the settings of the stories, like the aerial view of London with the pop-up clouds resembling, Captain Hook, the mermaids, Mr Smee and Tiger lily with Peter Pan flying near the moon with a silowette of Peter on it! And the mini pop-ups can be as intriguing as the large ones! Open a mini page one and the Darling children rise up in a totem pole pattern with Pan at the top as they start to fly! The Sabuda illustrations here remind me of the inspirational sketch art made by the illustraters for the preparation art from the making of Walt Disney's PETER PAN in the 1950s. At first I thought there might be something wrong with the pirate ship at the end of the book because the top deck did not lie down but stuck upward at an angle, but I realised that it's supposed to work like that! So I alway's press down on the front edge of the deck to make it line up with the front of the ship! My favorite pop-up boats in Sabuda's and Reinhart's books are the Argonaut's ship in GODS AND HEROES and the ship attacked by a Kraken in DRAGONS AND MONSTERS! These books are incredible! Both the adaptation text and the inventive pop-up design are well put together! While the fantasy images will appeal to kids the complexity of these pop-ups makes it better to recommend these books for adult collecters then to put them in little kids hands! Another winner for pop-up art!! I 've just uploaded a new PETER PAN POP-UP review video to give a better idea of this book's quality! I got the pop-ups to fit in for the most part! Hope you find it helpful! Amazon should increase the resolution of their video uploader! YouTube's uploader is significantly sharper with more detail then amazon's uploader!
