Hi there. Yes they have a manual open / close setting which you can very easily set. If you move the little hook on the lock downwards you will feel it click into a permanently 'open' state and no magnet is needed to open the door. When you are ready to use them again just click it back up into the 'closed' position. I hope this helps.

Can you purchase spare adhesive? I've got the locks all ready I don't need the full kit.

Hi, thanks for the question. We no longer include screws in the box as the adhesive on the locks is very strong and makes them not necessary for installation. If you did chose to use screws yourself they should not be attached to the lock component as it's not designed to be screwed in, only the small catch-plate which goes on the side of the frame.
