Nice size functional and sleek look
I’ve been using the HDM69L modulator for a few days now, and I’m honestly impressed. Setup was super easy — truly plug and play, no driver needed. I use it to send HD video from my media player to older TVs around the house, and the signal stays solid with no noticeable lag or drops. I like that I can switch between PAL and NTSC formats and adjust resolutions depending on the display. It’s lightweight and compact, so moving it between rooms is hassle-free. For the price, it delivers excellent value with flexible options and reliable performance. Great little modulator!

Great product
worked like a charm for my older crt! only complaint is the resolution stays 16:9 no matter what, even if the input is 4:3; but im using it for pc so im okay with that but could be very annoying for some!

Doesn't pass HD to RF out like OTA antenna. Downscales all HD to SD. Doesn't correct aspect ratio.
The unit accepts up to 1080P HDMI input, but downscales all outputs to SD. It worked fine and all controls were functional. I tested it on a current 16:9 HDTV, and an 4:3 80s CRT video monitor. Audio, Color and SD clarity were good. Unfortunately, It does not correct the 16:9 input aspect ratio to 4:3 output for CRT. Any 4:3 CRT will just squish the 16:9 image inward horizontally so everything onscreen is very thin and elongated. I hoped to use this unit as an HD PIP input for my HDTV, but it doesn't pass HD through the RF coax output like an OTA antenna does. Some audio and image problems were reported in previous reviews, but I suspect user error or defective units.

"Reliable HDMI to RF Modulator – Works Great!”
I recently purchased the Tangxi HDMI RF Modulator, and it has been a fantastic solution for connecting modern devices to older TVs. The setup was straightforward, and it supports both PAL and NTSC formats, making it highly versatile.• Clear signal transmission: The video and audio quality remain stable without noticeable interference.• Wide compatibility: Works well with various devices, including DVD players, gaming consoles, and security cameras.• Easy setup: Just connect the HDMI input, adjust the frequency, and you’re good to go!This converter is perfect for anyone needing to broadcast HDMI sources over RF signals, especially for older televisions without direct HDMI input. The VHF/UHF range allows for easy tuning, and the F-Female connector ensures a secure fit.Overall, this HDMI to RF converter is an excellent purchase for home or commercial use. Highly recommend!

Barely works with HDMI
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I got this converter to hook stuff up to an old TV I had acquired with RF only input. I got it all hooked up, and when I plugged my laptop into it, the signal was awful. No matter how much I tried, I just couldn’t get it to output clear video with HDMI input. It did work perfectly when I used composite video with a SNES, I don’t have a picture but it did work. The main point is that I got it hoping I could connect modern things to an old TV, and it didn’t do that at all.

Works, but not well
We purchased this as a “quick fix” to get video from one place in the house to a TV in a different area of the house, until we can rerun cables. Before I went through the work to install the device for its intended purpose, for testing, I connected a modem Xbox to the HDMI of the device and fed a short piece of coax into a small (<30”) modern flatscreen TV. The channel selection interface needed a bit of basic understanding of different worldwide broadcast frequencies/standards to find the “channel 3” for our country. The image quality was low - text was double imaged/ghosted/blurry. I’ve seen similar behaviors from a Xbox when using bad HDMI cables and it downscales to the lowest resolution and HDMI protocols. Alternatively, this could be the device introducing the ghosting. Either way, for a device which lists 1080p resolution, it’s not able to achieve that resolution and picture quality in this configuration.Although this device says it’s HDCP (HDMI copy protection) compatible, when trying to watch a Blu-ray from the Xbox on the TV the video player app froze (no error about HDCP not supported, just froze). Launching streaming services was successful, but didn’t try to watch a full video or multiple apps.To try to reduce the ghosting I tried to adjust the dials, which require a small Philips screwdriver. A normal household screwdriver is too large of a diameter to fit into the holes and a small “pen” or eyeglass screwdriver is too small to engage the dial. I’ve seen many dials which are both slotted and Phillips head — this is not one of them. Although a small standard (straight) blade screwdriver would have easily fit through the cutout in the case, the lack of the dial being able to accept either made this not an option. After about a half dozen screwdrivers, I found one which fit (barely) into the hole and could turn the dial. The video adjustment dial seems to simply be brightness and had no noticed effect on video quality.

Very good budget analog modulator
I got this modulator since it is very moderately priced and claimed to support a variety of PAL flavours along with NTSC...and has hdmi input. It works very well. It correctly modulates NTSC, PAL-B, PAL-G, PAL-I, and PAL-D/K. I only wish that it supported PAL-N, but when you select 4.5MHz audio carrier NTSC is the only option. I wish PAL-M and PAL-N weren't so hard to find, but the five signals it does generate are perfect.I'm giving it four stars because of the strange way it breaks up channels into blocks. It does VHF and UHF but you have to select bands of frequencies for it to test against. Minor issue that is completely ok to deal with.

Great compatability.
Really great for connecting newer more modern devices to older televisions. Sometimes people have older tvs we would rather be able to still use if we can. This is able to work on various devices with a lot of compatability. I didn't find the directions so bad honestly.
