Draper 21837 Drain Blaster, 70mm/150mm Ø, Blue

I have had a very slow draining bath for about 3 months. After trying numerous “solutions” I decided to try this as a last resort before calling the Plummer. I order it just before midnight and it arrived at 10am!! It’s very sturdy and very straight forward to use although I have to admit I got a bit confused that when filling with water the second you turned it upside down it was coming out. My solution was to run my bath about 3 inches roll up my trousers and get in stucking up the water and sliding it over the hole while my eldest blocked the over flow. It cleared in around four pumps I was amazed! I was quite optimistic if I’m honest especially as I could see how the water was going to stay in, I done a few extra pumps to make sure was fully cleared and it’s now prefect and the best part is I can re use and reuse for the cost of under £5.00 :) so happy

I was a little apprehensive to buy this blaster after reading some mixed reviews, but having used numerous drain unblocking solutions with limited success I decided to give this drain blaster a go and decided on Draper as generally they are a reliable brand. The bath water flow was so slow to empty, but after a few blasts it is now faster to drain away than ever so from my perspective it did the job superbly and would recommend without hesitation.

I bought this as we have a shower outlet that has a shallow fall and is prone to becoming slow to drain. This does the job of clearing the pipes very well and takes very little time to use. The only slight downside is that it takes a while to fill before you can start, but that's not too much of an issue. Does the job of clearing blockages well and can be recommended. Good value against calling out a plumber.

I'm not really one for hyperbole but this is an absolute game changer. Less than 3 minutes after opening it, the problems I'd had with the kids' hair blocking up the bath were gone. To think of the money I've spent over the years pouring absolutely evil stuff down there, only for none of it to really make a dent when I could have just used this glorious item. To paraphrase Partridge: "I love this thing. One push - GONE".

It helped to clear blockage.

I have had these sink UN-blockers in the past and this one is no different they do a good job of unblocking sinks, but also what I have found although they last for quite a long time, due to their sealed nature, you can not service the inside of them and eventually the seals inside wear out. But none the less a good tool to have in your box.

I bought this in a hurry based on the Draper name. Followed instructions to fill with water and force water into blocked outlet. The water just ran out of the bottom before I could place it over plug hole. Useless. I tried another approach which was to partially fill the sink and then use this to pump that water into the plug hole - that did the job. Cannot recommend

Just about works but not very powerful. It often doesn't make a very good seal and the water leaks out.

Das Produkt erfüllt wirklich gut seinen Zweck. Rohre, in meinem Fall ein Waschbeckentrabs, werden sanft und rückstandslos befreit. Der Vorteil ist die schnelle und problemlose Einsetzbarkeit. Der Trabs platzt nicht unter zu hohem Druck. Allerdings ist beim Pumpen Vorsicht geboten, da der Stiel leicht abbrechen kann.

Die sog. Pumpe ist eigentlich eine große Spritze. Hatte das gleich Teil lange in meinem Sanitär-Fundus und gelegentlich benutzt für Traps-Abflüssen. Aktuelle habe ich damit Restwassermengen aus den engen Abflussöffnungen eines Pools abgezogen. Die Spritze arbeitet nicht unbedingt wie ein Uhrwerk, verrichtet aber ihren Dienst. Aufpassen muss man tatsächlich (vgl. andere Rezensionen), wenn einige Hübe bereits gemacht wurden. Dann spritzen Leckmengen aus der Entlüftungsöffnung im Kolbendecken. Mir macht das nicht, da ich ohnehin in Gummistiefeln im Pool gestanden habe und ja sehe, was passiert. Wer sich vor dem, was vlt mal im Abfluss rumschwimmt, ekelt, sollte von so einem Werkzeug die Finger lassen.
