Possibly the best entry level electric grinder on the market
After some deliberation between this and the Baratza Encore, I made the plunge and chose the Wilfa Aroma as the upgrade to my Hario Skerton. The grinder itself is extremely easy to use, it has a total of 2 buttons and 2 dials. Very difficult to misuse. Only criticisms would be the slightly fiddly bean hopper lid, and the grind setting adjustment dial being the bean hopper, which leads to slight awkwardness when changing the setting. The grind quality itself is, for the price, amazing. I'm not sure you can get grind quality this good anywhere else for the same cost or less. I have zero complaints about grind quality, it's not perfect, but it's the most bang for your buck option out there. The ground coffee bin is definitely a point of criticism. There isn't an aspect of it that I don't on some level dislike. Rather than being a simple cube or cup shape, the grounds bin is a geometric nightmare, seemingly designed to make pouring the grounds out as annoying as possible. It's nothing unbearable, but it is annoying. The grounds bin does have some anti static coating, and paired with a puff of water from a spray bottle results in next to no static, so that's not an issue. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase. The grinder isn't perfect, no product is, but for its cost it's the closest to perfect you can get. Would recommend to anyone looking for an entry level electric burr grinder.

It works well
I'd known of this electric grinder for a while - used to be available from Hasbean, now called something else, of which I was a longstanding customer. When my Porlex hand grinder (Japanese made, very good indeed) finally started to wear, I made the jump to electric after 50+ years of hand-grinding beans - and I haven't regretted it so far. Buying it from Amazon made sense, no cheaper elsewhere and delivery was very quick. It didn't take me long at all to establish the two settings I need: half a litre of filter (using Kalita steel filter cup/filters into a German vacuum jug) first thing, then late morning a single cup in the Bialetti stovetop. For the former I set the Wilfa beneath the "A" in Aeropress, for the Bialetti it's set beneath the "O" in Mocha, works just right for me. I've seen some reviews mentioning grinds sticking with static inside the ground coffee receptacle: sure, this happens a little bit - but it always happens with any grinder, manual or electric, varying with the type of bean and the ambient conditions. It really is not a problem. So far the Wilfa works pleasingly well, efficient and easy, not too noisy or bulky, well engineered.

Will not last
Grinds well, easy to use, but poorly constructed. I have already gone through 2 in 2 years with different issues. The first one's motor gave out after just over a year, and the sencond one left me unable to reinsert the burr afyer cleaning. Save your money for a better constructed grinder, you get what you pay for.

Good grinder, but damaged packaging
Box arrived damaged, all dusty inside the box, returned for refund. We already have this model, easy to use, makes an excellent grind. Ordered this new one from Amazon as a present, will now buy from another source.

Handsome and functional
I purchased this to increase my coffee drinking joy. It is the first electric grinder I've owned and it was worth the investment. I mostly make coffee with a V60 or a french-press. There are clear and obvious settings to obtain the correct grind size for these two methods, as well as multiple others, which is great - no thinking required! I was impressed that there is not a lot of waste or dust left over or accumulated by multiple grinds. In addition cleaning is easy with the hopper and other parts easily removable. If you can afford it, this is a great grinder, worth stretching the budget for over cheaper options.

Amazing, beautiful little grinder
Amazing! Such a beautiful, sleek grinder that’s a lovely addition to our coffee enjoyment kit. It worked really well, ground my coffee beans to the correct coarseness for filter and finesse for mokapot. I’ve not had it for too long so can’t speak to the longevity but so far, i’m loving how nicely it sits on my kitchen counter! Great value for money for the high quality Nordic design

I would not buy another one, that is for sure (updated 16 April 2025)
Update for review below: "Whilst my experience with a couple of Wilfa coffee grinders left a bit to be desired initially, I must say the customer service department really stepped up to the plate. They kept in touch via email, requested a video showing the fault, and then, blow me down, they sent a brand spanking new machine and even emailed to let me know it had been dispatched. It's been a few weeks now, and peace has been restored to the household. As I mentioned before, when a Wilfa grinder is working as it should, it's a proper asset, and there's simply nothing like the smell and taste of freshly ground coffee to get the day off to a cracking start." I did my research and purchased the silver version of this machine in late December 2024, it failed after 10 days. Returned it, upgraded to this one and it worked from 6th January 2025 until 15th March and failed again. It would not grind coffee. While the machine looks good, it does not have the build quality I was hoping for, considering the cost. It is not expensive but also there are many others available at a lower cost. For what I paid for this machine, I'd be better off buying a grinder for less, and if it break in a year, buy another one. It would be a lot less aggrevating and disappointing. Both machines came with a little crack by the grounds reservoir but this did not affect the working of the machine, in hindsight, I should have returned the second one too but that was too inconvenient. When it works, it is a good machine, does the job, lots of settings and looks good too. I've emailed Wilfa, lets see how they handle this. Too bad about the quality.

After hours and hours of research I bought the Wilfa Svart. My choice was eventually between the Baratza Encore and this one. I spent hours watching James Hoffman on You Tube. I know more about grinders than I ever thought I would. Eventually the small size and decent price of this and the number of reviews online on how many times a Baratza requires replacement parts (albeit cheap) made me choose the Wilfa. I have had it for a month now. Love it. It was super quick to set up. Maybe 5 minutes. Easy to use. I love the rotating jar to decide what kind of grind one wants. Simple, no thinking required. The sound is very low. Which is a great plus when you are grinding early morning when the family is sleeping. The speed is quick. I can grind about 60g of coffee in about 26 seconds. Not that I am counting- but it is less than the 30 second timer. I have cleaned it once since I got it. Not the simplest, but not tough. Took about 3-4 minutes with an old paintbrush. My coffee is much more fragrant and flavourful after I started grinding the beans just before drinking. Super highly recommended.

Works great but coffee is not good. Whatever grind size i choose coffee is very bitter comparing to Hario manual ceramic grinder+manual pressure express as well as Jura E8 automatic
