Great product for wet weather
The product kept my camera dry on a shoot that started with light rain and then moved to really heavy rain. The quality is great and the fit was perfect. I run a GH5 with Metabones 2 and a 28-70mm ultrasonic lens. My only gripe is that I had to put my hand on the camera where I can adjust all the dials and reach the shutter button, and essentially pull the cover over my hand, but leave the cover up enough so that I could still see the screen and the view finder - almost like pulling a sock on your foot but not pulling it over your ankle. Overall I am 100% happy with the product and I have confidence to take it out for wet weather shoots now. Great product.

Peak Design - Medium cover
I have a Canon 700D camera and the Peak Design rain cover soley as a rain cover is perfect. I like the fact that the opening seals up sufficiently around the front of the lens to stop rain blowing in under the cover if facing into the wind. However, when it comes to using the camera - i.e access to the various controls, touch screen and shutter release - while the cover is on is difficult, especially if the camera straps are fitted. Lifting the back of the cover up far enough to get your hands under it to hold the camera body and access to the controls is difficult. As someone else has said it does need a change in its design to be easily usable when raining. I suggest the back panel - i.e the part covering the camera backtouch screen - should have a waterproof clear silicone plastic flap that lifts up and away and that can be zipped back up with a weatherproof zip. Having said that, when it comes to keeping your camera dry in the pouring rain, this is probably the best camera cover on the market.

Really good bit of kit.
Works really well, nice and waterproof and seals up well around the camera and lens. The small is possibly a bit bigger than it needs to be for my m43 kit but other people may find it perfect and if I was being really picky I'd change the elastic cords to black rather than red as they can catch your attention a little when on the bike or whatever. The care instructions say not to wash but as it's basically a stretch softshell fabric I'll probably care for it as per my technical clothing - low heat wash with pure soap or technical wash stuff, reproof with some technical reproofer and then low tumble dry. Although having said that it doesn't really matter if it's clean so I'm not sure I'll bother doing it that often!

Nice but not for Pro use
I love Peak Design. I really do. I have their straps and their camera bags. They make some cool stuff. I needed a rain jacket for my Sony Alpha cameras and there is nothing on the market that doesn't look like a clear sandwich bag for them except for the Peak Design rain covers. Lovely material and feel well made. Good for the amateur user. I use a Sony Alpha with a battery grip. The small cover doesn't come down far enough to cover it. The medium does and so does the large. The covers a 16-35mm well but not the 24-70mm. The medium is too long for the 16-35mm but good for the 24-70mm. The large is good for the 70-200mm but found it baggy around the camera where the others were more snug. My big problem with them was you can use the camera with the rain cover on. You can flip the back up to see the screen, yes but it's still covering the eye piece and even when you push it over it pops back down. The buttons are too covered, even the shutter if you needed to fire a couple of frames off. Using the Peak Design quick release straps isn't great either. You have to feed them through and if you need to take off the cover in a hurry is fiddly. Not great for a pro user

Good quality, if a little snug
This offers great protection, but it is very difficult to use. The back panel needs to be lifted away which tends to reveal the camera, and attaching any strap is an awkward struggle threading things through the cover. It isn't something that you are going to take on and off very much because it's too fiddly. I use it on a Fuji XS10 with the 16-80mm. Yes, I like it, but it could be more user friendly and, if I am very honest, I don't think I'd get it again, or, if I did, I'd try the large one instead, but then you're guessing with fairly expensive items.

Great piece of kit - Essential for wet weather up in Scotland
My camera = Nikon 3200 (average sized body) + 18-140 lens (large telephoto lens) GOOD The medium shell is almost too big, use a lens hood to stop the shell slipping in front of the lens. I think the medium shell is designed for full frame camera bodies as well as crop sensor ones, so a bit oversized for my camera but that only makes it more waterproof. The camera still gets some drops on it, but I've kept this on the camera in reasonably heavy rain and it's done the job! Quick release tabs work well. BAD It is difficult to zoom the lens with this on, but what do you expect? I can't think of another way to easily waterproof your everyday SLR. Does occasionally get in the way of my capture pro fitting.

Stay away from small size just go for medium instead
Build quality 100/10 hands down! I bought small size for my fuji x-t20 + 10-24 lens it fits perfectly but sadly you cannot put any flash triggers on your camera, i find it hard to swap lenses, the size of this product on my 35mm f2 lens is total fail it is too big it blocks my lens even if you tighten the lens cover that thing still slips.

Peak Design shell (small)
Perfect fit for a GX9 & 12-60 lens for use trekking. Coped with wind & rain when attached to the outside of my pack. Takes a while to get used to best way to access the camera. It does work with my G9 but is a very tight fit - I’d try the medium for that type of body.

This is an excellent shell for a DSLR camera. We were looking for something that would offer us protection from light rain and mist but not be bulky or cumbersome to use. This works perfectly. It looks sleek, weights almost nothing, and repelles water very well. It’s also the only product that I’ve ever found that fills this particular niche. Just make sure to check their sizing guide because we ended up exchanging for a small after not doing or initial research.
