Would this be suitable for very fine cat hair removal off curtains etc?

It does remove fine fluff from carpets so I don't see why it wouldn't work on curtains.

Can this be used down the sides of the sofa i have a 3 seater sofa and each seat is separate so will it go down each small side, many thanks

Yes, I believe so as I manage to use it on my car's interior corners where most of the dusts gathers.

I don't have pets but fancy using this type as a general clothes brush do you think it would work ok on clothes to get fluff/lint off please???

I use this brush to remove my daughters long hair off the carpet before I vacuum so the hair doesn't clog the vacuums rotating brush. It works a treat and saves me having to cut the hair off the cylinder brush, which was a nightmare!

Does this work well on human (girls) long hair???

yes - strange though it sounds, I have one of these brushes and one day I thought I would try using it as a hairbrush (I have long hair) - to my amazement, it literally just glides through my hair, it is truly astonishing! It has been quite a lifesaver in fact - I hate using other hairbrushes, because I get a lot of head pain, but this brush does not tug or anything like that...
