comes with a 3-year warranty!
I've only had this kettle a couple of days, but already it's my favourite kettle I've had in a long while. It's balanced very well, pours well. The handle is very grippy, and feels incredibly secure. I had no trouble keeping steam off my hand, unlike some other reviewers did. It was not difficult to remove the lid--the knob is made of the same grippy material and does not get hot. However, it's easy enough to fill through the spout, which is the way I usually fill these kinds of kettles. The window is large and it's easy to tell how full it is.It took exactly 3 minutes to boil the maximum (1.7L) load, starting with very cold water. It runs as quietly as any kettle I've had. (They all make some noise.)Best of all - this comes with a 3-year warranty. Most kettles I've owned recently come with a 1-year warranty, and usually pack in around about month 14. Of course I have no idea if this kettle will last the distance, but a 3-year warranty gives me hope that it will.I can't fault this kettle at all--and it looks good, too. However, its form does not interfere with its function in any way. It's definitely worth the extra money. This is not a cheap kettle, but it's not crazily expensive either. Very pleased, so far................Okay, it's August 2016, and it's still working as well as ever. Thats 2.25 years of heavy use. I've just ordered another one to have on hand, while they're still available. Best small appliance I've had in ages................Update: It's now 31 March, 2018, and I'm finally needing to throw the original kettle away. Several things started to deteriorate late last year (2017). The plastic window cracked (I mended it with clear cellotape, and that is holding well.) However, the lid handle crumbled and I had to pry the kettle lid off with a spoon yesterday. And when I looked inside the kettle I realised that the chrome paint or whatever is lining the kettle is peeling off. So ...I'll now start using the one I bought in the autumn of 2016.I have to say the electrical connection stand is still working fine, so I'll keep using that till it dies. I originally bought this kettle back in December 2013, so I got 4 years and 4 months of good service out of it. That's well over the warranty of 3 years. Still the best electric kettle I've ever owned. I'm away to order a replacement for my SECOND kettle, just to have on hand. Great product.

Designed by someone who uses a kettle!
I was skeptical about a "no drip spout" but it really is! And I love being able to easily see the water level instead of trying to see a tiny gague under the handle or other awkward place. I was also pleasantly surprised by the soft feel of the handle. Very nice! It boils water fast and quietly too. It's better than the overpriced name brand it's replacing that was a disappointment.

Good kettle with some issues. Enjoy it while it's shiny and new.
Purchased this kettle after much humming and hawwing to replace my ageing, rather grotty looking with corrison, but still working 1990's Philips Filterline.First impressions: Very stylish main body - matt silver brushed metal effect. A bit smaller than I expected. Lid is stainless steel with a knob in plastic rubberised material whch also covers the main handle. A slightly overly pertuding illuminating power switch sticks out at the kettle's bottom. Clear view windows on other side of the kettle giving you a good view of the water as it boils (the novelty has yet to wear off on me). The base pinth is trimmed same as the kettle's body. There's no lip on the pinth's rim, so it's easy to wipe clean. It's 3Kwatt so it's got plenty of power for a quick boil even at max 1.7litre level (3-4mins). I wouldn't say it was particularly quiet, also the kettle's pretty lightweight so it does jiggle about a bit if it's boiling a decent amount of water, not that it's in any danger of coming off the pinth or anything - it's just a tad disconcerting at first. The lid's pretty tight so not the easiest to remove if you want to refill through it. I usually just refill through the spout - not recommended if you want to make use of the attached limescale filter, but I'm in Scotland and limescale is virtually non-existent here.I'd say it's fine for a singleton like myself, or a couple's household, but probably doesn't have the durability to withstand the everyday knocks from a busy family.

Lovely kettle with bonus of what appers to be great after-care service
Lovely traditional kettle in an unusual design and pretty colour. So far, it is fantastic to use. I have spent months trying to find the right kettle - and returned two from expensive companies, which had problems right out the box (smeg and dualit). This Cuisinart brand is much less expensive - yet no issues at all and works like a dream. I was also swayed in the purchase by the Trustpilot reviews - fantastic after care service (unlike the Trustpilot ratings for the expensive aforementioned brands.)

Certainly misleading stating this a a quiet kettle. not happy with Cuisinart kettles or toasters
Had one of these for a while and it did the job but there is no way this is a quiet kettle as claimed by Cuisinart unless your stone death! in fact it was shockingly loud and sounded like some one hitting the base with a hammer!!! I'm not exaggerating wish I could upload the sound it was ridiculous and the plastic chrome around the handle peels after a while but I did love the rubber handle! I purchased a second one in hoping last was a dodgy kettle but the next one arrived just as noisy but this time had a metal taste to the water so sent it back not happy with Cuisinart kettles full stop so purchased a over priced Dualit kettle as I love the style of these.
