Confidence Twist Stepper with Ropes

I gave it four stars because I have only been using it for ten days. I am only one kg lighter than its maximum weight load and it seems to be sturdy enough. The step feels deep enough for me although I am only 5ft tall, but I do agree with some other reviewers about it not having much of a twisting action. Overall I am very happy with this purchase and am pleased that I wasn't put off by some of the reviews.

The actual stepper is great, and quiet, however the step counter does not work at all. I tried correcting as per the instructions in the manual and ended up pushing the sensor in too far never to be seen again. As I use a separate step counter on my watch which works with the product I decided not to return. I'm around 5ft 4 and the resistance bands are just about usable for someone of my height, but would be useful if you could adjust the length. Anyone shorter would not get any resistance.

No problems. I have had a stepper in the past and used it for years befofe it broke. This one is good price and dies what it says on the box. The ropes are a good improvement but I cant do the two together. Its just as noisey as my last one. I personally wouldnt pay extra for a quiet machine because they still do the same job. I would reccommend this bit of kit!

I don't use the stretchy arm bands but the stepper itself is really good. It goes 'dunk' if you hit the bottom when you step, but turning up the difficulty seems to raise the height which means I don't go all the way down any more, no 'dunk'!It seems to need frequent lubrication or it starts squeaking which is a bit annoying.Does the trick, looks cool and with a bit of WD40 it's almost completely silent :)

I decided to purchase a stepper as I enjoy watching tv after work, and thought I could combine the two. Its definitely worth the price tag; it gives you the number of steps, timer and the amount of calories that you have burnt in that session. Very easy to set up and you can use straight from the box. The only thing I find a bit redundant is the ropes, but I guess that may be due to my hand-eye coordination!

This is a good stepper, portable, durable, and compact. However, the computer did not last up to a month or was not consistent. It has also packed up after 8 months of use. I used this for 1 hour a day.

I was excited to try my stepper as I have been aiming to walk more,but on rainy days I don't feel like going out so this seemed a perfect solution.It came ready to start and it was great,didn't make much noise.Yet the next morning it started to squeak a bit,i don't mind so much because I usually have the tv or some music on whilst I'm using the machine.

I read some very damming reviews before I bought this - and wish I had listened. Its awful. The stepping action itself is limited, so despite having it on the highest resistance, I hardly feel like I'm stepping much at all. To make up for it I go at speed - which actually reduces the noise. This is probably the biggest issue - The noise is TERRIBLE, it squeaks and grinds loudly. I have tried to oil it but it has made no difference - aside from the fact I now get an oily black residue on the floor after using it. I have had much better steppers in the past and they all end up squeaking in the end...but this one started on the second use! Considering it cost a little more than a months gym membership - I guess maybe I have had my moneys worth? ...but I shall be looking for something better to replace it and certainly would not recommend it to someone serious about working out. This is only of use if you just want a little light exercise - occasionally - and can ignore the awful noise!
