Thanks for your enquiry. We sell parts in kits to ensure that you receive an identical matched pair of modules which will come from the same manufacturing batch. This 100% guarantees that the modules will work in dual-channel mode, which is a feature of most systems, and provides an additional boost of performance from the parts. Generally kits will be slightly more expensive in price as part of this guarantee. Buying two single modules should also work perfectly fine, but parts may not be selected from the same batch. Although slightly cheaper in price, we cannot guarantee that dual-channel mode would be enabled - partly due to very small variations on the module manufacturing process. Q: Once installed do i change any settings, when i do the installed ram it still says 8gb not 16 but it does seem a bit faster?

hi, I just slotted my ram in and upgraded from 4GB to 8, yours should say16 when inserted. you don't have to do anything. pc takes care of it. make sure ram has clicked in properly i upgraded a dell 780 with no problems. all the best t
