It's a buck Knife!!! Buck knives is a classic old American company that has been making knives sense 1902. They have a very long history and they even made knives for or troops in ww2. Buck Knives primarily manufactures sport and field knives and is credited with inventing the "folding hunting knife" and popularizing it to such a degree that the term "buck knife" has become synonymous with folding lockback knives, including those made by other manufacturers. With that in mind, I was surprised to see that Amazon has a buck knife available for just over $13. I was looking for something small, nice, and legal to carry in San Antonio, Texas. It's a city ordinance violation to carry locking blade here so I figured I would check out some plain old folding knives. When buying a knife it's a good idea to check your local laws so you don't risk looking or knife and getting fined. It's a whole lot smaller than I had anticipated. But that's a good thing. It's sharp as hell and just about perfect for day to day use. It disappears in my pocket but it has a nice weight to it so I know it's not falling out. On the blade there is a small "China" ingraved. Because of that I thought this was a counterfeit because buck knives is american. Because they are American I was able to call them up locally and I spoke to a nice lady and she told me that they have a line of knives that are made in China so that people don't have to spend an arm and a leg to get a buck knife. If you want a completely American made buck knife, you gotta pay much much more. This one is at the bottom of the line. But really, the only imperfection is the "China." I gave this knife 5 stars because it's exactly as advertised, the price is perfect, there is zero play in the blade, it opens and closes smoothly, it stays closed, the quality seems top notch, and it's just beautiful. I am very satisfied. Buy this knife.

I wanted this knife for every day carry. I like to carry a minimal amount of gear on me and this knife fits that need. It feels durable, no loose parts, it has a nice firm click when you open the blade. The blade does not lock open, but it is very solid when opened. Overall it feels like a solid little knife. My only complaint is the edge on the blade, it's very dull. Once I figure out how to sharpen such a tiny blade, I'm sure I'll be more than satisfied.
