The pad says what it says but for blending colour pencils etc. I found it slippery

Excellent quality paper pad with thick and smooth paper. I have tried coloured pencils, pencils and fineliners and had no problem with bleeding, and the coloured pencils blends beautifully.The paper is sturdy and can take repeated erasing without ruining the paper, as well as a lot of pressure from pencils without creating and bumps in the paper, making it uneven in places.The paper is in a very white colour, I see no hints of yellow or any other tints.I really recommend this paper.

I'm quite new to drawing pencil portraits but after doing some on generic crafting card and cheap sketchbook paper, a friend commissioned a family portrait. I thought I should get some proper paper for it, and chose smooth bristol board as I thought it would be similar to the smooth card I've used previously.The paper is smooth, thick and bright white. It can tolerate a lot of erasing, blending and layering abuse. However, I found it difficult to lay down flat areas of pigment. I never use blending stumps but resorted to trying them, which helped. I found that scumbling with teeny tiny scribbles was the best method in the end, as any back and forth shading seemed to leave scratchy straight lines, no matter how light or careful I tried to be. I also find I get tiny dark dots in some places. This might just be a technique issue (again, I've not done many portraits!), but I had to change a lot of my methods to get things looking good with this paper, which was stressful and time consuming. I do like to keep my pencils needle sharp though, and the size of the portraits ended up being very small with 4 people on an A3 page!Now I've got the hang of it, I'm confident I can finish and do this piece justice, but I think I'll be exploring different papers to find something that feels less fiddly to work with. If you do illustration, ink or technical drawings, I'm sure this is amazing paper.

Perfect medium for drawing my cartoons on and by far the best drawing surface I have ever used. Outstanding bleed resistance from marker pens, too, and a fantastic medium for presentation of all of the aforementioned. I'll definitely be buying more Bristol board, but may look for it in higher quantities. Great stuff!

Devo dire che sono rimasto molto soddisfatto della resa dei disegni eseguiti su questo tipo di supporto.Buona assorbenza del colore sia con i pennarelli, con la china e con l'aerografo.Con le matite in graffite si possono eseguire disegni molto dettagliati e la superficie liscia dei fogli permette di sfumarli rendendo il disegno molto realistico.Davvero un buon supporto!
