For just shy of £7 you can’t go wrong with this clock. It takes 2AA battery’s and you’re good to go. You don’t even need to press the button just putting my hand on top of the clock is enough for it to speak. The clock shows the time (obviously) as well as the date and the temperature. I am not quite sure why the manufacturers felt the need for the clock to actually speak the temperature as well as the time though. The set up instructions are a bit vague but like most things these days it works the same. Press each of the buttons a few time to see what they do and keep your finger pressed down on”set” to enable you to change the information. Great, cheap clock. Now I don’t have to turn the light on or look at my phone in the night to see the time and be wide awake afterwards.

I purchased this clock for my 97 year old father who is partially blind. He is so impressed with it he has asked me to order another clock for upstairs. It is easy to set up and the voice is very clear. It is a pity that it does not tell you the date as well as the time and room temperature. You can set the temperature to centigrade or fahrenheit which is ideal for an older person.

The clock is American, the voice is American, the date-display is American and the voice too loud, one can't view the clock in the dark without a loud voice, enough to awaken other sleepers.

I got this clock for my friend who is blind. It works well for a sighted person but is too complicated for someone non sighted. It also gives the temperature each time you hit the button which is totally annoying.

Had one before, has lasted but I dropped it so the digital display did not work properly. Really good, easy to read, great in the dark. Value for money

Very impressed with this clock. My mum is partially sighted and wakes several times in the night. She can now tell the time without turning on a light. It can also say the temperature in Fahrenheit as she doesn't know what the Celsius conversion is. This also helps me to know what her bedroom temperature is like - very handy in hot or cold seasons. She likes it so much we bought 2 - one downstairs and in her bedroom.

I bought this to use for after my LASEK eye surgery because I was told recovery would be hard and I wouldn't be able to see well or look at light for 24/48 hours. This clock has many irritants. The positive: It talks the time. (Obviously) The negatives: You can't adjust the volume of the speaker and my sister could hear it all the way down the hall in a massive 6 bedroom house with her door closed. The light stays on for seconds only. And there's no way to turn the light on without the speaker. It speaks the temperature afterwards and you can't stop this. Unfortunately when sleep deprived and in pain having other numbers chucked on the back of the time sometimes meant I had to press it again to take the time in. The temperature was out by 2 degrees so was useless anyway. If I was partially sighted I'd not have been able to set this up myself. Basically it did its job and it's now in the bin. I wouldn't buy it as a long term solution.

Bought for my elderly uncle who has impaired vision and is registered blind. He finds it very useful and easy to use. Good price and fast delivery.

Parle dans une langue inconnue de mon ami aveugle (anglais). Pas de possibilité de changer la langue, contrairement à la marque "Orium" qui ressemble à celui-ci comme deux gouttes d'eau ! Article renvoyé ce jour et commande d' un "ORIUM" qui parle français, (mais plus cher).
