Worked great to clean out all the jets in my Ariens snow thrower carb. Brand new machine and my stupid brother in law fills it up with old gas from a filthy old tank. Ten minutes later the thing is surging up and down. What a tool....my brother in law that is. This wire set also a great tool. Even the smallest jets in that carb didn't require the smallest wire here. I have really no idea about small engine carbs but I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express and watched a couple YouTube vids and bam! Expert. Dropped the carb and stripped it down. Scraped out every orifice I could find. Couple blasts of compressed air and put it back together. Now she is running smooth and I feel like....I dunno.....is there a famous celebrity mechanic? If so, I felt like that guy.

It happens particularly often when cleaning carbs (I know, a rapidly vanishing necessity), but there have been many other times when I'd wished for a set of fine straight wires with which to clean small holes in mechanical devices. Voila, this nifty little kit contains a nice set, of varying diameters, held in a little box and attached to the pivot so that these tiny little beauties are available on those odd occasions when you need them. It's not going to change your life, but it will help you out when a tiny obstructed passage requires cleaning. At this price, a good value to boot.

Worked great to help clean my 1998 ZX9R carbs. When used with a flashlight and carb cleaner, helps to get rid of main/pilot circuit clogs. On Keihin CV carbs, shine the flashlight through the brass fitting holes on the top side of the carb while looking into pilot/main jet holes in the fuel bowl. On my bike, this seems to be where the blockages are. Run the largest wire that fits through both holes, spray carb cleaner through the holes (protect your eyes), and you should be back in business!

Ordered and returned many torch tip cleaners because they were too big to fit small engine carb side jets. These fit the tiniest of orifices! Pricey for a reason. Bought three. Thank you K+L!!!

Bought this for my dad and he loves it it's so hard to clean carbs but this thing makes the job much easier ! Well worth the money my dad loves it and you will be shocked how dirty your carb really is ! Well worth the buy!

I need to clean out the pilot jet on my motorcycle carburetor. This is the smallest jet and is the one that often gets clogged up. In my motorcycle it is #35. None of the wires in the tool set were small enough to go through the jet. Also, the serrations on the wires will harm carburetor jets. It might be ok for some other applications, but not for carburetors. It is no better than the many tools on Amazon and Ebay that are 1/3 the price and have a lot more wires and brushes. So, this tool is useless to me, and I am returning it.
