If Carlsberg made Portable Audio......then you'd still buy a P2
I took quite a while to buy this speaker and had a bit of a dilemma between the Bose Soundlink II, the UE Wonderboom and the P2. I've had the speaker an afternoon and tried to put it through a range of tests both outdoors and in, so i can give a decent review to help others. It's not the cheapest. The thing is when you take it out of the box you do get a sense that someone gave a crap about the experience of opening it for the first time and how you feel. When you've got the P2 in your hand it does feel well made and good to touch. It does fit in your pocket and it does pitch up fully charged. The app is quite intuitive and also feels premium....and to be honest I hope B&O are going to keep it feeling that way. I'll not bore you what the app can do but it basically allows for personalisation and a cool equaliser. In comparison to the Bose. If you want a speaker that is going to give you great sound and Uber portability with a good volume then the P2 is it. If you want Loud and Bass heavy then Bose/Wonderboom it is. I bought my sister a Bose last year, she loves it and i've heard them alot, don't get me wrong they are a great speaker (so good I was nearly buying one) but the quality of sound from the P2 is excellent. The sound is very clear, bright (without being tinny) and has a good level of bass. The Bose can be turned up to 11 but it's bigger, so you'll need a bag of some description, if you're a bloke then a man bag would be your weapon of choice, ladies have handbags so not a problem. You will be impressed by the sound, it's quality, it's clarity and its volume. You'll not be staggered with the volume or how high you can crank up the bass. It's not really about that though. This is about getting to listen to quality sound anywhere. You could liken this to Gin and Tonic.....you could just drink your expensive gin with any old rubbish......but why? You want to enjoy your Gin so you buy FeverTree so you can taste the delicate little things that a Scottish distillery has weaved into their brand. That's why you buy Bang and Olufsen. I washed the car with it in my pocket and listened to some stuff on youtube and was good....i've yet to use it for making a phonecall but i've also yet to see a point to sharing a call with the rest of my village either. If I could knock off half/quarter of a star it would be for there being no storage bag that comes with it. For £150 I'd have hoped for one or at least something. Bad B&O, you must do better next time.

Balanced and punchy sound
Finally a portable speaker that offers balanced sound, customisable EQ and a compact enough size. Prior to this I purchased (and returned) the UE boom 3 which had a poor sound (in my opinion of course). The B&O P2 has a warm yet balanced sound which thank fully avoids the hyped bass most portable speakers suffer from. Bose comes to mind here. I tried the Bose Soundlink Revolve which definitely exhibited that boomy bass. Many people seem to like this type of sound of course. Unfortunately for the Bose and many other speakers of this type, there is no way to adjust the sound. The B&O offers an app which can be used to adjust the sound to your liking. Fantastic! Battery is not that great but decent for the size (this thing is tiny). I take the speaker everywhere I go (I travel with work a lot) and it keeps me company. It can go loud without distorting (say up to 80% of max volume). It is loud enough to entertain a group of people in a small living room. With low - medium volume listening I get about 8-10 hours listening which is fine. Love it.

Amazing when it actually plays
Amazing when it actually plays. But it cuts out and stops playing music as if I’ve paused it. Sometimes it cuts out every few seconds extremely frustrating wish I could send it back or get a refund but I was out of the country for a while and missed the date. Did some research and it’s an issue the product has as a whole. Disappointing because it would be great if this didn’t happen.

How is it done?!!!
The B&O Beoplay P2 portable speaker sounds really impressive. It's MUCH smaller than I was expecting, but the sound from it is rich and involving. Not sure how they managed to fit the sound in the speaker :) The P2 is stylish and sassy and very aspirational. It's a great looker, feels solid like a premium product should. Great connectivity with Bluetooth, easy to set up, this P2 is easy to charge, and it keeps its charge really well. I've been using it for a couple of evenings without needing to recharge. This is a real quality item. It "feels" like a quality item and sounds like a quality item. Very highly recommended.

Quality product
Use this b&o on a daily basis connected to my laptop, & alternate workstation. A great purchase, sound quality has improved beyond what I had previously, which is most helpful to all, while on a video conference. No case is provided by b&o for this speaker/mic, and really ought to be, due to the transient nature of its use.

Money back please!!!
Great sound quality, absolutely useless for streaming. Spotify, Alexa, Amazon music and Plex all fall foul of the patchy Bluetooth stack on this device. Dropouts and channel loss drove me nuts. I have tried the app and firmware updates even had the unit replaced. Time B&O owned up and refunded me please?

this is an outstanding product
We use it indoors and out doors on the patio and the garden, its small and easy to move around and gives superb sound where ever you put it in the home.

Very poor quality for the price
It certainly looks and feels premium but the connection issues and poor battery life meant that I will send it back and get something better for half the price. Its not worth the hassle and the controls are limited and leave the device handicapped.

I just opened the box and try to turn it ON for the first time, but the speaker wasn't responsive. I tried to plugged it in a charger maybe it's not full of power, but it appears that it won't work unless I plug it to a power source! + the speaker will turn OFF immediately after I reach sound volume at 58%. Like if the speaker cannot handle that level of sound. But otherthan that, the sound quality is really top notch, the bass is really good, the sound is rich and crisp at the same time. If this device work with me, this is the best speaker you will have but.. what a sad chance.. it doesn't work for me.

Dopo un JBL Flip acquistato 3 anni fa e poi un Bose SoundLink Mini due anni fa pensavo proprio di aver chiuso i battenti (e il portafoglio) in ambito speaker portatili. E INVECE NO!

This is a terrible product. Do not waste your money in this - there is also no way to contact the seller in case of any issue and don’t have a warranty. I’ve been trying to find a way to contact them but they don’t even have an email or phone number. DO NOT PURCHASE THESE SPEAKERS.

What a great little speaker. I love it. Fits in your pocket. Take it anywhere. Sounds great, or better put, sounds awesome for a small speaker this size playing 256k, mp3 or aac quality music from a smartphone. If you often use the built in speakers on your smartphone to listen to music, then this will be a huge upgrade. Mostly, I have the P2 next to me as I work on my laptop, hanging off my golf bag (I put the leather strap on the hook that holds my golf towel), next to my lounge chair at the pool, or next to my bed while I'm nodding off. It seems to work best at 25% to 75% volume, the sweet spot being around half volume. If you need to power a party, this is probably too small for the job. If you want tunes for yourself, maybe a couple friends or cubicle mates, this is it. Music while hitting golf balls? This is perfect for the job. Tunes for around the campfire? this is it. Blast it to scare away wild animals, yep, it'll probably do that. Impromptu dance party on the beach in Ibiza? No. Inviting 20 friends over for a party? again, no. Think of it like a hatchback. Nice, fun to drive. But if you need to haul lumber from Lowe's, you're bringing a truck, not the hatchback. Always use the right tool for the job. Need to power a party, get a larger speaker (or two). I think the battery is great. As with anything battery operated, the more you demand, the shorter the battery life. For me, at 50% volume, I can get close to the 10 hours B&O says it will get. Using it at night to go to sleep, so at pretty low volume, I can get 12-14 hours. One thing I've noticed, the indicator light will turn green when the battery gets to around 85-90% while charging. I can see that in the B&O app. Even when it turns green, I just let it keep on charging. I wish you could pair two of these for listening in stereo.
