Tried and true replaced my skimmer pump
I used this to replace my old Reef Octopus Diablo XS-225 Skimmer. Works like a beauty

A bit stronger than expected
I picked up this pump to replace a frozen PSK2500 on an old Red Sea C-Skim 1800. It turns out this isn't a 1:1 replacement.The main difference is that the PSK1200 is actually stronger than the original pump. It turns out that it isn't a problem, but I have to reduce flow a bit into the skimmer to keep it from wet-skimming.I also found that the pump doesn't like having its airflow restricted. If you don't give it enough air, it chatters. I'm not sure if this is normal for needle-wheel pumps, but it is just something I've noticed.If you are planning on using this to replace a C-Skim pump - just be aware that Red Sea decided to glue the original pump to one of the custom adapter (the smaller one on the top of the pump. I ended up carefully cutting & reaming out the old pump side of the adapter. If you can find a replacement for the top adapter, this pump should thread nicely with it.
