How long does the battery in this laptop

Its not possible to say because it depends on how you use the laptop, 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours is common though.

Is this a genuine dell battery or an oem battery - reviews seem contradictory on this?

I dont think it a genuine Dell, when the power goes low the computer says please replace with a genuine dell batter, the battery does work and does have a longer life than the dell battery that came with the lap top which is now 6 yrs old

What is the warranty period you offer on this battery for the E5420

Under the sale of goods act all new electrical goods are subject to a minimum of 12 months warrenty soI assume its 12 months but I have not checked. A marked improvement on battery life though so I am happy with it
