Knipex Electronic Super Knips® ESD burnished, with multi-component grips 125 mm 78 61 125 ESD

Brilliant little knips. Great for small data cables. Used mostly for cutting cable ties. Cuts them flat with no edge.I bought it just over a month ago. (Not a lot of use at all) Unfortunately, while cutting cat6 data cable today the head of the knips snapped off. I wreckon I got a faulty product because all my other knipex tools are hard wearing and never had an issue with them.Contacted customer support and I'm awaiting a response.

As soon as one opens the packet and lays eyes on these, it is obvious they are not cheap Chinesium cutters.As soon as one holds the handles and squeezes to make a cut, it is obvious they are something different. The tension in the spring seems to be perfectly balanced and compared to other similarly-priced cutters that use a different spring mechanism, no grinding of spring rubbing on handle is felt. The spring tension is constant all the way from open to closed - there is no progressive increase in tension as the cutters are closed. All this without anything being cut, obviously.The handles are slim and the shape of the handles seems to fit perfectly in my hand as I hold them - the full length of the handles being in uniform contact with my palm and fingers - the other cutters, above, have a more curved handle that results in the bulge of the handle pressing into my palm in a smaller area, which seems less comfortable.The cut. These cutters are sharp and make an effortless clean cut. They are also excellent for stripping the insulation off wire (both PVC and silicone) - as long as one is careful not to nic the conductors.I wouldn't hesitate to buy Knipex in the future.

These are fine medium quality cutters as long as you don’t exceed their cutting capacity. Recommended if you don’t try to cut steel wire that will put notches in the blades.

Positive- Practically zero friction between the two halves- Lightly weighted spring- Rounded tips, might help to prevent some accidental stabbings- Decent tolerances- Good handle quality, grip, and comfort- Good steel hardness (According to their website's HRC rating)Negative- Slightly misaligned blades- Thin- Price

these snips have a very smooth action & feel comfortable in the hand. only time will tell how durable they are but I've always been happy with Knipex.

Very sharp and precise cutting possible with minimal effort. Haven't used for a long time so can't say how the cutting edge will hold up, but my expectations are quite high at this price point.P. S. couple quid extra over non esd knipex worth it if you are handling cmos type chips like the popular atmega328p boards

It feels nice in hand, cuts well, precise but didn't held up for too long as one tip broke.. disappointed at this price
