Size is fantastic, price is reasonable (for its size) and the ease of cleaning is perfect. Clip off, bag the litter, clean with a pet disenfectant wash and DONE! I have 6 cats and we have set up 4 trays as we have no more room for the 5th tray. But the problem for us wasn’t the amount of trays, it was the actual size of them; we have 4 boys and 2 girl cats. The 4 cats use litter trays the other 2 are garden cats as they are strays. Boys are the average cat size and with most trays they don’t have a lot of room to manoeuvre around inside. I looked on pet stores and all I found was overpriced fashion pieces that really were more of a hassle than a solution, like rattan litter boxes with large price tags, don’t get me started on the wooden variety, my cats would destroy it than use it. If that’s your thing then by all means go for it, but I won’t buy something that the cats can destroy in a heartbeat. Delivery was about 3 days after initial dispatch. It came in a large box with the top/bottom parts of the tray packed together. Latches were on snap off plastic and installed easily same goes for the handle. Filter was a slide under type and the cats are having a hard time getting it out, which is good as the older trays filters were really easy to pull out and the cats just ripped them to pieces. My only gripe would be the flap, I put the flap on and it sticks on occasion stopping the cat getting in and out. I’ve always took the flaps off since my cats hate them and if they can’t get in they end up doing it somewhere else. More of these types of trays need to be on the market. Even my pet shop couldn’t sell me a tray of this size because they simply couldn’t get them.

Bought this for my indoors British White Shorthair. As his previous litter tray had reached the end of the road, we decided to go for this model as it's bigger and is covered, hoping that it would help in stopping him digging for china and spreading litter everywhere when he used his old one. Arrived within 48 hrs of ordering with (thankfully) minimal packaging. Was very easy to put together, took about 2 mins (even tho there was no instructions). Very sturdy, and takes slightly more litter than his old tray, and with the sloping back means the litter is quite deep in the middle. Took the flap off, left it near his old tray for a couple of days, then filled it with litter. To my surprise he started using it straight away. For a British Shorthair he's a big cat (5.4kg), but it's big enough for him to stand in and turn around in, and he can dig away until his heart's content, without me having to dodge litter flying everywhere. There are four plastic clasps that hold the lid on. They are easy to snap open and shut, so removing his poo and cleaning can be done quite quickly. Also the filter works well. Would recommend this for anyone with a large cat. (Message to the makers, might be an idea to include instructions for assembly).

Absolutely amazing kitty tray, my boys took to it straight away, they are 13years old, reason for buying as 1 has forgotten to crouch when piddling, he never used to do this, old age, this has solved the problem. 1 of my cats is massive and tall but this accommodates him standing and is as big if not bigger than their last tray. Was extremely easy to put together, didn’t have instructions but you didn’t need them, waste of paper, very simple, I would highly recommended anyone looking to buy a new hooded tray to consider this as it ticks all the boxes for sturdiness, price, quality, very easy to clean and was delivered very quickly without prime. Love it

Wanted a bigger box, as my cats were kicking litter out of the door on a smaller box. This is certainly bigger. Easy to put together. Once filled with litter, its very heavy and don't trust the handle to hold. My cats also destroyed the carbon filter!, its accessable from the top and they used claws to remove it and chew!, would suggest it be enclosed on top for future models. Also the door doesn't seem to close, so litter can still be kicked out. Overall I am happy with the box for the price, but feel it could be made better.

I already had the largest tray I could find, but lately I was finding my cat was going over the edge. Wasn't his fault, he was just too big for his tray. So I decided to buy him this new one. It's definitely a lot bigger, I have a very large cat breed and he fits in there fine. I've had it next to his old tray all week with the door open. Hes been using his new tray since and not stepped foot in his old one! It's much easy to scoop his litter out, his old tray had these dips in the corners which made cleaning a bit awkward, but this new one is flat which is a lot more convenient. I'm going to try him with the door down this week to see if he gets along with that ok but it's no big deal as its fine open. I love the little door how it opens up so wide that you can get your arm right in there and how it can stay open on it's own. It's an excellent design and overall I'm very happy with this purchase.

Well it’s a long story but after 11 years of living in a flat and having turned a cupboard into a cat toilet (for two cats) one will only poo on paper so with having an extra large open tray and a smaller one for paper with a cat flap (open hole as they won’t push it open) on the door my cats have been spoilt! We are moving to a house and have no such luxury for the fur babies and they will have to get used to using a normal litter tray so I ordered this!! It says extra large and they mean it!! It’s fortunately big enough to fit a normal sized litter tray inside with space for about quarter of a page of news paper and they use it!! (With the door folded back, but hopefully with a bit of training after a few days in the new house I’ll be able to close it) It arrived in good time and mine was in perfect condition! There are two little things that may affect someone else... one is the door doesn’t sit flat and actually leaves an opening, this is an advantage to me but some other people this may be an annoyance to and the second is it doesn’t come packaged all that well.... just one massive box with no protection for the plastic and I’m assuming should the delivery people be heavy handed could break.... however saying all this I am soooo pleased that my cats will use it and for the price and size of what you get it’s purrrrfect! (Sorry had to be done!) xxx

Overall i have found this to be a good sturdy litter tray (so good we bought a second one) and gave it 5 stars although it wasn't quite perfect. One of our cats is particularly large and there is plenty of space for him to fit inside it unlike previous ones we have tried where we would often find spillage over the entrance as he couldn't get in fully sometimes. The hatch is very clear so we can see when a cat is in there which prevents us surprising someone when we go to empty the trays and find a cat in there which scares them. The double hinge design of the hatch allows you very good acces to clean it out without having to remove the lid. The handle and box overall were easy to assemble but also sturdy unlike others we have tried where they have seperated when lifting them. The 'issues' are to do with the hatch which as you can see from the various pictures does not fully close thus leaves a small gap which can allow smell to escape as that gap is quite wide and when it arrived it had a big sticker on the clear part of the hatch which was quite dificult to remove and remove the stickiness after it was removed which is not great considering cats tend to push their head against to hatch to move through it and one of our cats is quite timid about doorways at the best of times without having her fur getting stuck to it when passing through. I see a few people have asked the age old question of does this reduce cat litter on the floor. We have had a lot of cat litter trays and i can't say this works any better than others we have tried at stopping cat litter escaping.

Now, sadly I ordered the wrong size - so had to return, but got to say, this was excellent . Well made, fitted together easily & well, sturdy - & therefore would be easy to take apart & clean. I really liked it, it’s my own fault for being a twit about measurements. Where things get interesting is, as usual, I requested an Amazon return. And then a very nice lady from the seller company messaged me to ask would it be easier if she arranged a direct collection from me as a large item. Oh yes please, I’m disabled & reliant on others for transport + it was rather a large box. This lady was amazing, sorted out correct return labels, kept me informed - when the courier failed to pick up, she rearranged everything; was always so kind in her messages, nothing was too much bother. So no, I didn’t keep the cat litter box - yes I would have done if I’d sorted the right size! Yes I would recommend for large cats.
