This clever design allows you to semi-mold the material to your teeth. Soak in hot water then it becomes soft. If you clamp down and push your lower jaw forward it will cool and stay that way (kind of). I forgot my dentist-made oral device on my vacation and Amazoned this one to get me through. It does appear to work better than nothing. Of course it is not as "good" as a dentist-made one that costs 800 bucks. It, however, does allow the teeth to move too much back into a non-underbite position so it is not really effective. Better than nothing but not much. 3 stars because it is a cool idea. If it started as an underbite it might be better. Pushing your teeth that way while molding doesn't produce much of an underbite and the soft material doesn't hold your teeth there at night very well.

I've ordered similar in the past that worked well, but that item is no longer available so I tried this. It has much less material than the prior model I used. That older one could mold solidly around all my teeth and would hold my jaw in position all night long. This one really doesn't. Not enough mater4ial to mold up around your teeth so the fit is loose and minimally effective. The price is right, but I won't be buying this again. If you do, note the instructions say to use 70-80C water to heat it up. That's not hot enough. Use near boiling water to get the material soft enough. It's a fine line between too hard and a soft gooey mess though. My advise is just to look elsewhere.

If you have an issue with grinding your teeth this is the product for you, super soft and totally comfortable in your mouth. I would totally suggest this product!
