As a new Risk player, I decided to throw myself in the deep end and have a crack at the World Domination game mode and its brilliant. Strategic and challenging, it's a fun and often outrageously satisfying experience. Adding a Game Of Thrones backdrop only emphasises the ruthlessness of these war games and truly leaves you feeling like a Stark battling to regain control of the North. Beautifully and faithfully designed maps and a wonderfully illustrated and eloquently explained manual make this game an aesthetically pleasing, easy to understand and almost 'pick up and play' experience. Even for a beginner, the rules are easy to understand and follow. The manual includes scenarios and illustrations that excellently describe the action and a clear and concise layout helps the learning process along. Littered with fun and varied additions such as Maester cards and Character Cards that can alter the game at strategic moments, wonderful references and beautifully realised artwork and game pieces. Even the dice are lovely little tactile items who's design adds to the tone of the Westerosi backdrop. There's a genuine feeling of accomplishment and nerdy joy at invading kings landing with Ned Stark and co ... A classic battle in a modern and incredible rich new locale excellently realised and stunningly presented, this is a gorgeous item, well worth the price tag and a fantastic gift for both board game enthusiasts and Thrones fans alike.

Bought Deluxe game for my daughter and son-in-law as they are big fans of Game of Thrones (and I am a big fan of the original Risk game). This is a brilliant game although some of the names are a little difficult to read due to the colour of the maps, but if you dont mind that I highly recommend. So far we have had four family games nights with this game and have been up until 3am lol. We have played with just 3 of us and have recently played with 6 of us. The game is well made. Board is thick and sturdy and pieces are strong. Cards are good quality but I did buy card protector sleeves, which I would recommend) just to look after the cards. They protect the cards and are well worth it. I bought Ultra pro sleeves (clear). This game is brilliant and easy to learn. I would highly recommend. Be prepared for hours of fun and battle.

I loved this game from the minute I opened. The rules are easy to follow, especially if you have played another risk before. You will find some clear examples. The army pieces are good quality, but some of the house are much better made than the others, for example Lannister’s and Stark’s houses which are the main ones of GOT are ok, but aren't great enough, and then if you look at Baratheon’s house army piece, is amazing and actually my favourite. The boards are well made, but some of the name are so difficult to read due to they are written in the same exact colour than the background. Dices are just fine and you have the exact amount in order to play. (Do not lose any of them). All the cards are a little delicate I personally recommend to buy some cards covers to keep them nice and safe. Would be really helpful to have some jars, pouches or similar to storage all the tokens. If you buy GOT Risk you will spend a lovely time with yours friend and family playing that’s for sure, but keep in mind that you will need a whole afternoon to finished a game.

My son, was badgering me to get Risk as the family game for Christmas....I played avidly as a teen, and each game was always completely different from the last....imagine the delight on my son's face, when he unwrapped this!!! As a Game of Thrones geek, this ticked every box. We played on Boxing Day, and despite my 25 year hiatus from playing, I only went and WON!!! It's like the original, but better (whoever thought such a thing was possible!!) with the addition of several ports, one can now take over an area, reinforcing each port to it, and therefore use troops elsewhere on the board. We had a fabulous game, though my son was pretty miffed I beat him so succinctly... The only thing that could be said negatively about it, that I've run out of playing pieces at times, partly due to my inner Kalese and brilliance, and because there are not quite enough... but overall, amazing.... (we were real saddos, as we also had the Game of Thrones music playing throughout the game!!!)

When it arrived it was the one I ordered. I have played a few games with it now and there are some drawbacks that could have been done better on there part. Risk is a great game and this version has really stepped it up into something else, there is more variety in the gameplay and you really don't know what your opponent has got up his sleeve, you can go into a battle guaranteed of victory only for him/her to play a card halting your advance while your painfully wait another turn. My advice is double check the version you order, if you just want simple risk get the skirmish version, but if you want a truly entertaining game get this it is worth the price.

I am mixed on the rating for this. As a fan of both Risk and GoT this should be something I love, but the GoT version of the game isn't as good to play as 'real' Risk and the more classic version of this played on a weird board with weird pieces isn't as satisfying. The board itself is high quality with good pieces and the addition of plastic boxes to store them which is a nice touch that every board game of this complexity should have. It's all well made and feels premium, which the price reflects It's not a good way to learn Risk but it's an interesting addition to the mix when playing with friends. We enjoyed the game in basic mode but found the GoT version tricky to master. I'm glad I have it and would buy it again because of my love of the two things involved, but it's never going to replace the original Risk.

My husband and I love this game. He is such a hige fan of Vikings, so you can imagine his face when we got this. Playing with friends is fun.

Premetto di non averci ancora giocato, ma dalla traduzione e la lettura del manuale devo dire che il gioco promette molto bene. Dunque, le foto postate descrivono correttamente il contenuto della scatola: due mappe ( Essos e Westeros), 7 set di eserciti uno per ogni casato (315 pezzi in tutto), carte territori essos, carte territori westeros, carte personaggi (4 per ogni casato), carte maester, carte obiettivo, carta di fine gioco e unità speciali (divise in tre tipologie:cavalieri, macchina d'assedio e torre), monete (divise in pezzi da 100 e 500), 7 player board (uno per ogni casato) e dadi a 6 facce (5) e 8 facce (4). Questa è la versione deluxe che prevede la possibilità di giocare da 2 a 7 giocatori in 3 modalità diverse: la prima è il classico risiko (si chiama modalità skirmish) con possibilità di gioco da 2-5; la seconda è una versione più complessa che unisce un gioco di carte e monete di gioco con il classico uso dei dadi ( si chiama dominion) ed è stata pensata per 2-5 giocatori; infine troviamo world of war che prevede l'utilizzo di entrambe le mappe per 6-7 giocatori adottando le regole delle versioni skirmish o dominion. Due pecche: il fatto che sia scritto tutto in inglese quindi vi tocca tradurre (anche se a dirla tutta è un inglese base, se poi conoscete già il gioco del risiko non dovreste avere troppi problemi); e il costo effettivamente troppo elevato. Concludo dicendo che le miniature degli eserciti sono bellissime, le mappe ben strutturate e le carte curate nei minimi dettagli. Non mi resta che giocarci ;)

Compre en Estado muy bueno que valía 5 euros menos que nuevo porque ponía estado muy bueno, me arriesgue ,y mi sorpresa al llegar, la caja rota por varias veces y faltan todas las cartas!!!!! Me parece una vergüenza que no miren esto antes, y ahora encima el juego vale el doble.... nunca más de segunda mano!
