I needed this due to my 4090FE nearly fully blocking my PCIe x4 slot on my motherboard....and wanting to add a 2nd PCIe USB controller card. Even with me putting a very aggressive series of bends into this riser's ribbon, to keep it out of the 4090 fan, it worked perfect for my application! Highly impressed with the build quality, and it arrived really well packaged. I wouldn't hesitate to order again. Highly recommend.

I took the top off my Mini-Box M350, for good. I love a USFF, high performance build, and when building for myself I see no other objectives beyond smaller, faster, high capability, clean assembly, quality from the core to the surface, with an aesthetic dictated by the function of these prioritized goals, and of course, an unhealthy dollop or six of addressable RGB. If you subtract the RGB, you have a fair description of this high end riser cable, in which aesthetic was only compromised to meet form factor, and function. For real, I didn't know such a drab, underappreciated component could be so svelte, and attractive. Riser cables are ugly, unyielding, stiff, grey, uncooperative nuisances in my experience. Not here. Here, the flat cable itself is supple, pliable, conforming, accommodating, and can be returned to original shape without showing what it went through. The 90 degree connector (make sure you get the right model, as there are up to four variations for each length,) on the end is clean, and minimal. I'd guess the flat cable is insulated with silicone, but I'm not certain. The way it holds shapes, and curves that are beyond its native planes, allows mounting the card precisely where I needed it, and once there, it even contributes somewhat, to holding that position, rather than spring back to its packaged shape and form. I really can't say enough here, so I'll just add that it arrived from China WEEKS before the perfectly reasonable original proposed delivery date. The M350 had been cruising along beautifully for over year, with i5 8400, 32GB DDR4, an Engine 27, and a 4x PCIE 10Gb USB 3.1 Type C x2 card (and a whole list of blah blah blah..) The box was crammed, but not uncomfortably so, yet there was not a clear upgrade path, and I wanted a K processor. This of course meant goodbye to the Engine 27, not to mention the required repositioning of components. Well, long story shortened, I removed the top to fit the card, cuz I moved the card to fit the AIO, cuz I added the AIO to cool the K. ...all of which left me with a beast of a baby open frame. Even though the new mobo I swapped in has 3 or 4, 10Gb USB A ports, plus a half-speed (20Gb) Thunderbolt 3 Type C, I was not going to give up my StarTech PEXUSB312C2. This riser made it all possible, while looking good doing it. I can't imagine upgrading my machine again for several years.
