I've been playing for quite a while and do my own set ups. I received the guitar a couple of days ago and was very impressed. It was probably the best set up out of the box guitar I've received. The fit and finish are very good, the nut is cut well and I like the sound of the pickups. Surprisingly the fret ends are not sharp and the neck feels very comfortable and the guitar is a comfortable weight. The one thing that needed immediate attention was that the six screws that hold the bridge in place needed tightened as they were all loose. The tuners are meh but I change out the tuners on all my guitars to locking tuners...the thirty buck ones on Amazon are pretty good and definitely better than the ones that come with the guitar. The strings suffice but should be changed as on any new guitar. Again, this is the guitar I received. There are always going to be lemons in a batch but I got a good one. Even with the stuff I had to do with the guitar I give it 4 stars for quality and cost. I would have absolutely no problem gigging with this guitar. Update: unfortunately there ended up being a lot of dead spots on the fret board that I didn't want to deal with so back it went. I've tried 4 different Lyxpro guitars and I've only kept one as the others had issues. I won't be trying this brand again.

Guitar is honestly pretty nice. Couple spots where the finish is thin and has super cheap pickups but it was 100 bucks can't really complain. The fret sprout isn't too bad and neck feels pretty decent about like a squier I'd say. But that's about where the nice ends. The guitar came in a single super think box with a foam sleeve on it. The neck pocket has a huge split from the neck all the way to the screw along with another small one on the back. Essentially it's a time bomb til it breaks from the smallest bump against anything. I contacted lyxpro to give them a chance to redeem themselves and send me a new guitar seeing as this one is essentially trash and they pawned me off on Amazon returns. Personally I feel like I should be able to keep the junk guitar as an inconvenience it could be used as a wall hangar or given to a kid instead of trashed or resold to someone else. Either way I was planning on getting the t style guitar as well because of the great deal and ability to use these as project guitars but I'll be going with Glarry from now on. I honestly would of been cool with the quality of a cheap guitar if the customer service had stood behind it but if they aren't even going to stand behind their product I'd rather use another brand.

Mine was $62.I only wanted the body and happy with that.Decent pickguard with two layers of film. I was looking for a light one and this is 4 pounds 3 ounces. Very quick delivery.

For a beginner the looks and feel are the first thing they see and feel so my nephew was very happy.
