Westcott FJ80 II M Universal Touchscreen 80Ws Speedlight with Multi-Brand Camera Mount

I can use this as a key light for travel photos. It’s also great to use as a 2nd or 3rd light. I have this Westcott FJ80, FJ200, and FJ400. It’s so versatile that I plan to purchase another one for my travel kit.For this photo: used off camera w/ Westcott umbrella and FJ-X3m transmitter.

If used as a single flash its ok, probably a workhorse, but when you need a network of flashes of ither brands , compatability issues ame up... Tried to make them work with flashpoints ad300 pro, be able to connect with ttl mode, but manual mide couldnt , also auto zoom in ttl mode is not working , and focus assist not on. Camera nikon z8

So far so good. Need to play more with it, still using my Godox v1 for just a flash, since I'm comfortable with it. This compliments my FJ400 and 200 so need to work more with it.

I have used this flash both on and off camera and syncs well with the other lights in Westcott's line along with their fx-2 trigger. I am using the universal mount along with the sony adapter. Not ideal but I like the fact I can use it with other camera brands.

Better accuracy and MUCh faster recycle (then that other brand, which constantly breaks... ) Feel more like the Profoto unit. it is slow to turn on , but OK. exposure is very good.

So if you're considering Westcott or Godox, consider this. I bought the flash and it arrived on a Monday. The battery that came with it was defective. I called Westcott customer service and explained the problem. Of course, I could have returned it through Amazon but I needed the flash for a job on that Friday. Westcott shipped not just a replacement battery but also a charger overnight at no charge to me in Canada from their US office. The flash is amazing. It worked perfectly. The big thing and I mean big thing is their customer service. It is the best!
