Weller Soldering Screwdriver Tip, 1/16In (PTA7)

It's a very specific part for a very specific soldering iron and Weller was printed on the package when it arrived.. I don't know why I have to rate it.

I was able to replace my old soldering tip scene in photo with this brand new Weller iron tip It works perfectly and finally I am able to continue my electronic work. Very happy with this purchase well worth it. It arrived very very fast. And yes, it is an original Weller

Works great with my Weller WTCPT soldering station, a nice narrow tip for working on PCB's with tight spacing between parts

I have an old Weller soldering station that uses this family of tips. I worked in an electronics company where assemblers used the same station and left it on all day. In contrast, I use my soldering pencil occasionally and seldom for more than an hour or two at a stretch. I've had several of these tips start out nicely tinned and shiny, but after a few months they turn gray in a matter of minutes after heating, at which point they will not re-tin or heat the work like they should. The original tip that came on the pencil seemed to last for years.

Fits my 55 year old Weller solder station & works great. I use it for all my circuit board soldering when re-capping audio gear.

My old soldering tip had PTA7 stamped on it so I bought this. It fits perfect, it works perfect and it's solid like the original I had. A lot of other tips being sold are hollow so I couldn't buy them.
