Very sturdy good to handle very clear view real value for money

I already have several sets of binoculars and was looking for something in between my Canon 18x50 IS pair and the little pocket Minolta ones that live: in my pocket. After reading a few reviews, Bushnells came up as being reasonably priced, and good quality. As I was looking for something a bit different, the Trophy Xtreme 8x56 caught my interest. Designed specifically for low light, the large lenses offer maximum light transmission, but that's not to say that they cannot be used at all times of the day. They looked to be of rugged construction, with a good ergonomic design. BaK-4 prisms and multi-coated lenses, together with nitrogen-filled optical tubes promised impressive performance.When they arrived, they were just as I had hoped. Nice and solid, and the rubberised coating of the body gives a good robust feel to them. The flip-down front lens caps are a neat feature. They were easy to adjust to my eyesight, although I do find it necessary to hold them slightly away from my eyes for best viewing. Placing them against the eyebrows seems to work the best. They came complete with a drawstring bag and a carry pouch which unfortunately isn't big enough to completely fit the binoculars into, but that would be the only fault that I could find, and it doesn't really apply to the binoculars themselves anyway. Performace-wise, they work great in all conditions, they are not too big to carry around and they certainly feel as if they will last for many years. Well done Bushnell.
