Forrest Gump [DVD]

I had this film not long after it first came out. Gave it away. Then I wanted to see it again, it is just as good as I remembered it.

This film is definitely one of my favourites ever. Forrest Gump, portrayed spectaculaly by Tom Hanks, is a simpleton from america who wonders into the world. He has some extraordinary gifts of which you will find out about in the film. Approaching this however, you may expect to find Forrest Gump as a character who you cannot relate with. This is not the case. He may be a idiot, but he has character and values which no man nore woman can spurn. With some commical moments, sad moments, and moments of sudden realisation- eg when he interacts with the environment around him and becomes a character who experiences monumental historical moments (ie the watergate scandal and the vietnam war)- the film is suprisingly entertaining and fast paced. While this is not the best film of all time, it is definitely up there as Forrest Gump will warm the cockels of your heart. it's the feel good movie of 1994, maybe even the best (without considering the Lion King and Pulp Fiction of couse).

Nothing to dislike about the film. It reminds me of me in a way. I found it funny and sad at times. A nice all round film without a nasty surprise. Good family DVD. I would recommend a watch.

I like forest gump I tryed one online but the edit was real bad?

…..this is not a new film…..this time watched as if never seen. It is a film classic. Much to learn from it……attitudes…actions…..learning. Sally Field is her usual brilliant acting self. In this film a relatively small part, but nevertheless, dynamic. Her character depicts the determination of a Mum who is determined her son will attend his local school as a “normal student”, no “special school” for him. The only young friend Forest makes at his school, is a kind little girl who allows him to sit next to her on the school bus…..and she becomes his ‘promoter’, avoiding the school bullies by telling him to “run”…..and run he does. Tom Hanks, brilliant.

Questo è stato un errore mio perché non ho letto attentamente che non c'è l'audio in Italiano. Però il film è stupendo ed è stato ben masterizzato.

Why is this movie so difficult to find? The movie itself and Tom Hanks get five stars from me, but I gave it a lower rating because of the condition of my DVD. The part of the case actually holding the disc in place was broken clean off; the disc was sliding around inside and is scratched. Disappointing.

Original, touchant et drôle, magnifiquement interprété.

Buenas, últimamente tengo gafe y eso que me guío de los comentarios que publicamos (reloj con pila muerta, precio más alto en Amazon que en Leroy Merlin de humificador cactus y ahora esto). He regalado esta película, y nada de dos DVDs con extras de la película ni nada similar. Un disco y simple y por supuesto la edición Vanilla no aparece por ningún sitio. Así que nada, que lo sepáis, que como no dan descripciones de los productos, lo que el stock o suerte decida. Espero os sirva de ayuda.
