Brilliant Pump, to think of all the hard work cleaning out my mothers Goldfish tank, if only I had known this pump was available before, it would have saved lots of time and effort cleaning out the tank. This pump makes the job of cleaning out a fish tank a joy instead of a chore, its so easy to use, just pumps the messy water into a bucket and all the bits your fish leave in the water, and u just refill the tank with fresh water, your fish is happy, u are happy, and it all takes less then ten minutes to do, unlike before. its also easy to clean, and once its dry, u just pop it back into the bag ready for next time. its easy to store as well, as its not very big, and takes up little room. the price was also great value and included delivery, which was super quick. I would recommend this to any fish keeper, as its so easy to use, great value, and your fish will love u for getting it 4 their tank. its 100 % u cant go wrong. I would never have believed it was so good if I had not seen it working with my own eyes, its just Fantastic. Thank you, :)

It's cheap but it works. I use it every Friday evening to do a 30% water change (40 litres) in my aquarium and it does so efficiently. You begin the flow by squeezing quickly 2-3 times on the blue valve, and I have an 8 litre bucket that it fills in under two minutes. It comes with a few extension pieces plus a filter piece to prevent any fish from being sucked up. I've not had any fish come close to being sucked up, but it's nice to have that protection in place. It is possible to use that filter as a means of cleaning gravel, but I found it soon got clogged up and the flow of water reduced so I have a separate gravel cleaning pump that I use for that purpose. All in all, I can do my weekly water change and clean in under half an hour with this so I'm nothing but pleased with it.

Great idea...makes cleaning out the fish tank so much easier but care to be taken. Once you get it going, the flow rate is high. My baby biorb had a third of water remaining in no time at all. Well worth the price making changing the water quick and easy.

A robust alternative to an earlier battery-driven device that didn't work. Not just limited to biOrb tanks, this is good at sucking up debris from the foot of my tank, although also good at scooping up the odd fish if you operate it without the end siphon. Worked perfectly and has the benefit of an extension "pole" for deeper tanks. Much better than my previous hand-operated cleaner as it has the hand pump to get the vacuum going. Instructions are rather sparing, but it wasn't difficult to suss out.

Especially for the price, this could have been designed better. What you’ll get is a flexy ridged tube and then two straight tubes which are the bit that goes into the tank ( like the stick on a vacuum cleaner). These tubes aren’t strong enough, so they collapse and bend if they’re against the top rim of the tank or if you apply too much pressure, which makes it very hard to clean the tank properly. When the tube collapses, you lose suction. Getting the suction started using the blue bit is fairly easy, but in its entirety it’s hard to use. All in all, I’d do some research and buy a better alternative if I were you, as this one doesn’t perform well.

Cannot compare it with other products as this is the first time I buy one of these. A bit dearer than others I have seen online but it is really easy to use and works wonderfully to clean my barrel pond. Plus it was delivered free in 1 day (unlike other cheaper products that would have been delivered in a month time!)

I bought this to replace a second hand, identical cleaner pump which only gave up when I had to cut it to rescue a fish. The pump is simple and effective and I'm using it to clean a 150l tank. Pros The filter is really good to prevent any unfortunate accidents involving fish, though see below. Really easy to prime and has good suction when it's going. Cons Filter can be a bit too effective and sometimes hard to remove larger bits of waste without removing it. This product still the best siphon I've managed to find
