Jim Carrey and Cameron Diaz star in this '90s US comedy. After being thrown out of the Coco Bongo nightclub one sad evening, timid bank clerk Stanley Ipkiss (Carrey) happens across a powerful Norse mask in the river which transforms him into a wise-cracking, zoot-suited, green-faced superhero. With his new-found charm and powers, which include infinite malleability of his own body, Stanley chats up the gorgeous woman of his dreams, singer Tina Carlyle (Diaz), robs his own bank, outwits the cops and demolishes the local hoods. His extravagant nightly exploits attract the unwanted attention of Lt. Mitch Kellaway (Peter Riegert) and Tina's boyfriend Dorian Tyrell (Peter Greene), who is trying to exert his own control over the city. I am a bigger lover of the Actor Jim Carrey he is funny and makes acting look easy but we all know it is not, Jim plays his roles do well and knows how to make people and Families laugh. Jim makes films so entertaining and delightful If you want a film night for all the family I recommend this film.

One of the funniest Jim Carrey films from the 90s
Jim Carrey stars in this dark fantasy comedy about a shy clerk named Stanley Ipkiss who works in Edge City and can be described as a pushover towards people. While his at work he meets and falls in love with a beautiful bombshell singer named Tina Caryle played by a very young Cameron Diaz who is looking to open an account, unaware that she is the girlfriend of a sly crime lord named Dorian played by Peter Greene who wants money. One night Stanley goes to a nightclub but can't go in because well his not good enough. All that changes when Stanley spots a strange wooden mask, and since his a lover of cartoons he decides to put it on and is transformed into a zany cartoon green faced ladies man dubbed the mask which only works at night since the mask is loki god of mischief who was banished inside the mask many years ago. Overall I don't want to give too much away but this film was hilarious. My favourite is definetly the dance number at the club called hey pacchuo where Mask/Stanley and Tina are dancing together and when he kisses Tina her shoe pops off and the whole speech thing cracked me up. With zany over the top special effects, the makeup design by Greg Cannom who also did Mrs Doubtfire the year before The Mask and with great action, romance, thriller etc along with Cameron Diaz in her movie debut, this film is definetly one smoking comedy.
