Review: buon aiuto Review: I highly recommend this book for travel to the Golden Triangle of India. The text is well written and very helpful in understanding the history, culture and landscape of the areas it covers in India. It is genuine in its honesty about things that are positive and less positive about certain areas and the advice is practical and seems very up to date. The photos are helpful to decide where to visit and some of the practical guidelines for things to be careful for and to avoid were helpful. The book reads as a vetted and well edited guide book which has many knowledgeable authors ( there are several whose bios are included in the book). I highly recommend this guide book and just used it on our trip to India.

Earlier I submitted for a review of another guide (Rajasthan Travel Guide 2004) which was so bad I applied to return within an hour of receipt. I bought this guide to replace it and do not regret the choice. Good quality paper, lots of useful illustrations with small maps of individual towns and cities, and advice on the places to visit. I particularly liked the background information on the food culture, a desert region so there are few fresh vegetables. Not only do you learn about what to see but the history of that building and how it fits into the local culture and experience.. Yes I like and recommend.
