I can't fault the item, other than one minor niggle I shall explain at the end. I purchased the above item as a base for a shed on an allotment. Once the land is levelled, sand and then membrane placed down, it provides a very secure base. I was so satisfied with the product that I ordered a further supply to act as a base for a patio. However the smaller kit is a totally different structure and the joining methods are not compatible. I am sure I could have changed the item with the company, but once I had got everything down I wanted to press on. I managed to cobble together a method of joining both types of base, and it appears to have worked very well. Both types of base are very good quality and do the job just fine. Buyers just beware that if you are doing larger areas, ensure you get the same system if you need them to join up.

This was a life savior! I had ordere a shed, but was told later I had to put a concrete slab before installing the shed. I am an elder lady with no family or friends. I could not afford to have a landscaper to build me a concrete slab, and I was running out of time. I ordered this shed base and it came in time before the shed arrived. It was easy to put together as it is like puzzle pieces clicking together. It comes with a plastic sheet which you put on the bare ground. You click the pieces together and put it on the plastic. If you want, you can fill the squares with grid or sand or anything you want, but it's not really a requirement. I filled mine with sand. It is very sturdy and a great invention. Would recommend it to everyone. My neighbor is also going to buy it (elderly man)

Easy and light to assemble looks sturdy and durable. The membrane is not quite big enough but is fine and will still do the job. Arrived on time.

I bought a set of grids for a small BBQ area as a test prior to buying a larger amount for a shed. The grids are easy to use and the instructions are clear. Both areas I laid them have worked well - are stable, attractive and a much better alternative to concrete. I had a question prior to laying my first set and tried to call the telephone number shown on the Amazon seller's page - it was not only answered quickly but I got a super-helpful chap who was able to answer my question and give good advice. Really pleased all round. Delivery was swift too.

Bought one batch for a shed base and a further for a pathway. Easy to lay - make sure ground underneath is reasonably level and lay weed prevention fabric. Once down and locked together, on with the gravel and job done, really good and easy.......happy customer !

Arrived very quickly, well packaged and as ordered complete with membrane. We wanted a base grid for an 8 foot x 6 foot shed and laying these interlocking grids 5 length ways x 4 width ways produced a base that is few inches longer and wider than the shed in question. The membrane was slightly longer than necessary but both the membrane and grids can be trimmed to size and instructions show how the grids can be cut, we didn't bother and neither did we fill them with gravel. The wooden shed was made by joiners locally and probably some 50% heavier than a standard off the shelf wooden unit but the base grid took the weight with ease. Very satisfied with the product, it keeps the wooden shed supports off the ground and allows increased airflow under the shed which will hopefully prolong its life, it also looks good and represents value for money.

Would be 4/5 but weed sheet por quality and some of squares out of shape and difficult to snap into place

Used for a greenhouse base. Practical way to produce a flat base even for me in my seventies.
