Bandai Hobby - Star Wars - 1/48 At-St

This kit is a superb representation of the ubiquitous AT ST, well known to all Star Wars aficionados. The attention to detail and accuracy of each part in comparison to the "real thing" is spot-on and the cockpit interior is a joy to behold. A word of warning, however. Once you've put the armoured shell together the highly detailed interior can only be glimpsed through the open hatches. A shame to hide such a well detailed part of the kit!This kit snaps together extremely well with parts fitting like a hand in a glove. Dabs of glue were needed in a few areas though for extra strength.This model looks good in straight out of the box form but any reasonable modeller will have no qualms about painting it up. I decided to go for the weathered look and added fake grass to the diorama base to create a natural look. 5 stormtroopers from a role playing game, of an appropriate scale, in various poses around the base completed the scene. (I was keen on adding a couple of pics to this review but I can't find the link). All in all, this model is a highly enjoyable build with a blank canvas in terms of painting and creating a mini battle scene of your own!

Got this kit after looking at multiple reviews online and was not disappointed. This kit has a lot of detail packed in and can be painted up to look great. The build, including painting can take only a day to complete with assembly taking only a couple of hours (including clean up of parts which was simply just cleaning up where the sprue attached). Citadel (GW) paints work great with the kit as these are the paints I used. The kit fit together very well with the only issue coming from the left hand missile cluster which snapped off whilst building. this was easily fixed with a small amount of super glue.All in all a fun hit to build and has lead me to buy a snow speeder kit to go with it! Definitely recommended

I bought this for my 7 year old son, who loves it.I am very impressed with the quality of the mouldings that Bandai have done here.The quality is such that much of the kit could actually be clipped together without glue if you wanted to (not recommending that, just an example of how well made the parts are)Some of the parts are VERY small and when fitted made me wonder why they just were not moulded in like some of the larger details. You will need a good set of tweezers for them - or you could just omit them as they REALLY are that small.All in all, this kit was really fun and took about 5 hours to complete. There are choices for building with either the hatches open or closed.I was carful not to glue any joints, so ours is "pose-able", All leg joints stiffly move, "head" turns and tilts, Guns can elevate and it can balance without the base.We didn't paint ours - not with a 7 year old waiting with baited breath.

The Kit is very good - great attention to detail - one thing I would say is I watched a video on youtube about building it and a top tip about removing the tabs off the feet a its a very close fit apart from that I thinks its really good- would defiantly recommend

This is probably first model that I put together without using ANY glue and it holds! Detailing on this thing is absolutly stunning I just cant wait until I paint and weather it! If you like star wars or good models you will be very pleased and if you like both you will be in heaven :D I cannot believe you can buy this for under £20! Only thing is delivery. Mine took over month on free delivery option and that is really long time :) but on other hand it's exported from japan.All and all this is very nice detailed and high quality model for bargin price so I can 100% recommned

A fantastic kit. The detail is incredible and it was a highly enjoyable build.It is is quick to assemble, however, the scale can make the application of decals tricky.The set does not need technically need to be painted but the process of painting and weathering is both enjoyable and increases the overall look and display-ability of the piece.

Once again Bandai produce another superb SW model. Putting it together is easy with the help of am odd drop of glue for some of the more fiddly pieces. Take time to paint the interior of the cockpit (unfortunately it does become difficult to see in the finished product). There are some great videos on YouTube to help with the weathering and detailing.Looks superb on the shelf. Highly recommended.

I really like this model, when I bought it I wasn't 100% sure what it would be like as I'm more used to the offerings from Revell and such. This was a very nice surprise. The box was well packaged and the Bandai box had a nice semi-gloss look to it. Inside there was a nice selection of plastic components. The product can be glued, but you do not require glue. In fact the model is actually poseable once made, so if you didn't want to use the plastic base it comes with, you would have a lot of freedom in poses to use for your display. First time I've bought a bandai kit and I am very impressed.

Bandai continues to clown on every other model maker. This kit is fun and easy to build, is incredibly detailed, and has tons of extra little bits for whatever kind of display you decide on. I'm an experienced builder and the straight build took me about 4 hours on and off. Do yourself a favor and just pick this one up, you won't be disappointed.

El detalle de la maqueta es impresionante. Por el precio que tiene, no tiene nada que envidiar a la calidad de las maquetas de las propias películas. La mía, la que se ve en la foto, la he pintado a mano con un spray de pintura negra, luego, una vez seca, spray de pintura gris para el color proncipal. Añadiendo luego algunos desperfectos con pinceles de distintos tamaños, tenemos un resultado de película.Muy recomendable.

Cette maquette bandai est superbe, de très belle finition et de détails, facile à monter, en clips.. Y a quand mêle certaines petites pièces qui sont fragile, attention.....A vous d'y mettre votre décors ou type de finition vieilli...ou rouillé..Bref, je recommande...

Very good product, out of the box, the finished model was very smooth, detailed, and clean. Assembly was fairly easy - similar to most HGUC-level gunpla if you are experienced with those models. For the scale, I prefer this AT-ST over the X-Wing. Instruction manual was easy to follow. I am planning to paint this in The Mandalorian show skin.*Note: be very careful when inserting the eye flaps - they are very fragile and I snapped one when I tried forcing it in too hard.
