I first encountered The Year in Space calendar more than 15 years ago, when I worked for an aerospace contractor. I used it as my desk calendar at the office; even though I had to buy them myself, they gave me much more pleasure than the generic desk calendars available from the company supply room. Four years ago when I retired, I contemplated The Year in Space compared to a smaller-format calendar I had been carrying for personal data, and The Year in Space won, hands down. Keep the gorgeous photographs, historic dates and astronomical events coming!

This was our third time buying these calendars. My wife and I each have one at work. For each week there is a stunning photograph of something in space: planets, moons, the space station, and much more; each photograph has a detailed caption. For most days there is a minor fact like a launch or the anniversary of a historic launch. Moon phases are fun, but this calendar also has planetary positions for us backyard astronomers.I recommend this book to any fan of space. And it makes a great calendar too!

I love this calendar for two main reasons. First, each photograph of the week is spectacular. Second, there's plenty of room for each day of each week to jot down reminders or personal events. The calendar lays flat, with the photo on the left and the daily appointment grid for the week on the right. This calendar becomes a "diary of the year" for me, and I save and refer to them. I've been purchasing this calendar for nearly 15 years now and have never been disappointed in its quality or usability. I now purchase "in bulk" and give the extras to friends. They love it, too!

The year in space calendar is the gift I get for my Dad every year. The pictures are beautiful and have a good description of what you are looking at. The desk calendar lets you see one week at a time and has room to fit in appointments and notes.

I have been buying these desk calendars in bulk every year for more than 15 years. I hand them out as gifts for the holidays to many of my friends and family. Each page has an interesting photo from NASA or some other scientific institution. The photos come with an informative paragraph to illuminate the details. It's beautiful! I bought it for the photos as much as the calendar. I use an online calendar, but there's no way to get such high-quality, spectacular photographs from the internet.The paper is heavy and high quality, and even though it is very smooth, it takes both pencil and pen perfectly.

As an admitted space nut, I purchase this desk calendar year after year. The photos inside are gorgeous and don't repeat from year to year. Plus I love the "this day in space history" notes for each day. I'll be back yet again next year for the 2019 version!

I've been buying/using the Year in Space desk calendar for years...love it...has great pics, interesting info and allows me to keep myself on schedule and track my needs... used when I worked daily and now retired, I still use it!! Very helpful!
