Great quality product, as described, prompt delivery, great service

There's a lot that I dislike about this model. the huge wrap around decals for colour correction, the Battroid (robot) mode's huge kibble meaning it only looks good from forward angles. the incomplete sticker guides, all of which are forgivable. The transformation is more parts-former than i'd like, but it's not bad, it's impressive, although it feels like a good way to beak something. But for some reason someone at Bandai thought using Gold ABS was a good idea. I've know of Gold plastic syndrome since i broke G1 Skyquake back in the 90s. I knew this thing has some gold plastic when i researched the kit. For some reason i thought technology must have moved on. Just look at Bandai modelling abilities the technology has advanced so far, surely they've fixed GPS. They really haven't. I should have know when i unboxed it and one of the Gold parts was already off the sprue, I should have know as I removed the mold lines and felt them chip rather than cut. The first ankle joint broke as I attached the Foot. I repaired that with some fuse wire super glue and baking soda. The other ankle broke too, about a week later as i was applying decals. There is a reason Bandai traditionally uses vacuumized metallic finish that leave horrific nub marks rather than gold plastic. It's because Gold plastic has the structural properties of something akin to the forbidden love child of glass and poo. On a snap-fit kit gold plastic is a really bad idea. On a snap-fit kit using gold plastic as a structural component is a ludicrous idea. On a transformable snap fit kit using gold plastic on an articulated joint that's going to be used to support the entire weight of the model if we don't have a stand for it (which doesn't come with the model) is as about a successful an idea as invading Russia in winter, if they had some Finnish snipers handy, and you've forgotten which part of your head goes in your boots. A shame this design choice ruins what is rather a pleasant model.

ファイター形態での組み立てで、機首を最初につくり、翼、腕、脚部とそれぞれのパーツを しかるべき箇所にハメていくのだが、パーツのチリ合わせが素晴らしく造形が美しいので 組みあがるたびに「おお～すげえ・・・かっこいい・・・」 と感嘆の声をあげニヤけずにはいられない。 パーツの保持力はプラスチックモデルとは思えないカッチリ感。 縦横斜めどこから眺めてもかっこいい、素晴らしいファイターのプロポーション。 文句なし。 そして、バトロイドへ変形・・・唸る。ファイターであの完成度なのに バトロイドにしてもまったくデザインに破綻がない。 ファイターもかっこいいがバトロイドはもっとカッコいい。 可動部や接合部のなんたる安心感、不安な部位がなくビシッと固定され凛々しく立つ。 劇中の姿そのまま。チョーカッコいい。あーカッコいい。 よくこんなものつくったね、設計者は化け物ですか。 実売4000円そこそこで買えるけど１万円ぐらいの価値はあるなあ・・・ 組立のハードルとしてやや憂鬱になるシール張りだが アタリがずれて貼ってしまっても十分な引っ張り強度があり、数回の修正は可能。 粘着面にプラカスが付いてしまわないように注意 （静電気で引き寄せられることがあるのでシールを扱う前に手は綺麗に）。 キャラクターモデルファンなら必ず組み立てろ！その完成度に唸れ！珠玉のプラモデル。 バンダイの設計技術はいずれプラモデルの枠を飛び越え、世界に革新を起こすかもしれない、 そんな妄想すら浮かぶ。 120点。それにしてもこれつくった開発部凄すぎやしませんか。

I purchased this kit because the design of the aircraft was stunning and I also didn't want to spend the cash on the toy which I ultimately did anyway. Also being a huge fan of Robotech/Macross brand since I was a child, I knew this was a must have. The kit has a ton of parts and can be very intimidating. I've built many kits before but these are on a different level when it comes to detail. The parts fit perfectly but if you're the type to play with the model, I would suggest using glue to support a lot of the bendable hinge points. The instructions were understandable but I wouldn't recommend this for children or inexperienced builders. It can be frustrating at times. A magnifier would help with some of the little parts requiring assembly. My eyes went crossed several times and I had to walk away from this build. The instructions note when to apply decals throughout the build... squash that and apply as many extras as you can as you build. Applying a lot of them are a pain after this is assembled. There are a lot of decals so be prepared for this! Fortunately you get decals and stickers which some work better then others depending on the location needing applied. Other then all this, I loved the kit and have all the designes. I still have a lot of details and stickers to apply. Even though I bought the bigger one, I like this kit better..I look forward to building the rest of them.

VF-31j is really cool. I love this fighter aircraft!!!
