I have another brand of diesel on repeat order every month with Amazon but it went up in price and this was on offer so we had this instead. Did the job perfectly! Our VW T5 camper was losing substantial power on hills, dispite regular oil and filter changes. Using a diesel system cleaner it flys up the hills. Will definitely buy again. No negatives. Just returned from the Brecon Beacon Mountains and the camper went like a dream.

I’ve used Redex Diesel System Cleaner a few times in my BMW 1 Series and, to be honest, I haven’t noticed any massive or immediate difference in performance. That said, it’s easy to use, quite cheap, and I still use it occasionally as a preventative maintenance product rather than a performance booster. A few friends have mentioned they’ve noticed improvements in the overall smoothness and running of their cars with regular use, so results may vary depending on the vehicle. For the price, it feels worth using once in a while to help keep the fuel system clean, but don’t expect dramatic changes overnight..

Used this on my Renault Clio just before the MOT and it made a noticeable difference. The engine ran smoother, and the strong diesel smell that had been lingering was gone after treatment. Easy to use — just pour it in with a full tank. It’s not a fix-all, but for a quick clean-up and emission boost, it did the job nicely. Definitely worth keeping a bottle handy.

I put one of these into my tank every second fill and doing the same commute every day I managed an extra 50miles out of the tank. (VW T4 1.9tdi, usually get 600miles, averaged closer to 650 using this)

A much happier car after the first dose. Probably a 5 to 10% increase in fuel economy. Will definitely keep using it

So I do have an old 2008 C class, and this does definitely provide a slight boost in performance - making the car feel 10 years newer. I’m not entirely sold on the long term benefits as I feel the performance drops after 1-2 tanks when I stop using it, (I attempted 4 full tanks using redex) and I’ve never noticed a huge difference in noise. I would say in my experience it’s easy to use, and worth the boost in performance when the price is on offer, in most cases I would weigh up how much a premium diesel is vs adding this into a tank of cheap diesel. I am trialing Archoil brand of fuel additive to compare the difference, so I’m curious to see if there are any!
